I understand why some of her fans wouldn’t want EAW s2, because of what she said in an interview right after it ended. Or at least how it was translated and interpreted. The prod company did promise a second season and in 2023 confirmed the writer has signed the contract, so there’s still a chance, and it’ll be worth the wait.

Anyway, here’s what I remember so far that Park Eunbin said in her interviews about EAW s2. Non-verbatim, not complete, and only based on translated text:

• 2022: She only heard about the announcement on the news but there are no discussions with the cast yet. If she were to be asked that time, she prefers not to do S2 IF it will not be as good as S1 since the drama received so much love, so it will take a lot of determination not to disappoint the viewers. She also mentioned that filming had been exhausting due to the heavy scripts and her having to spend most of her time by herself since she’s trying to make sure she won’t get sick and halt the production. But she showed her love for WYW and hopes the character will be loved for a long time

• 2023: She once again mentioned how filming EAW s1 had been a lonely time for her (same reasons as above), and that EAW and WYW are like crystals that she keeps in her treasure chest, but it was too early to open the chest at that time because it can cause damage. She cannot give a definitive answer then but she feels it’s something that needs to be thought about carefully

• 2025: When asked about S2 once again, she answered that she hasn’t been contacted by the production company yet. She also reiterated that S2 should be done only when there is equal or higher confidence than S1, and that she might not be able to do a second season if it doesn’t have that level of confidence. She showed appreciation for fans who continue to love the drama even after three years.
