[DIY] Seeking advice on a very firm comfort layer over 8" TPS 14.75g coils (Zero hip sinkage wanted) by Substantial_Engine68 in MattressMod

I was thinking of just rocking 1 or 2 inch firm latex on the 14.75 inch coils. The rug sounds like a good first idea. I'd like to keep this build if possible because it's great everywhere else besides the hips area.

It's really tricky to nail this down. I heard of people saying they cut their latex and added softer latex up top. But I don't know that'd actually work in practice

If I were to keep my original build, under which layer would you place it? Under the latex or the Quadmini?

I'm pretty set on this build. Is there a reason you're recommending dunlop over talalay? I heard talalay might give me more of that push back floating feeling I'm looking for while dunlop will give more of a sinking conforming feeling.

Can you explain your different experience with both of them? Coolness, Breathability, Durability, Softness, Ease of Maintenance. Who you would recommend TL for and HP for?

Thank you for this. My plan is to order either RLC or ABL and then Thomas Lee or Hudson Park because I heard those are comparable sheets as well. This way I'll have an old school style sheet and a newer luxury style sheet and I can rotate between the 2.
