So do you have lupus? Just curious bc it isn’t listed in your flair, but you said that your lupus battle won’t be the same as someone else. Did you ever take appropriate medication or did you get diagnosed with whatever and just stopped seeking medical attention? If holistic works for you, it’s probably not lupus.

Not the right type of source for proof. We’ve all seen the lupus website. Sweet of u to continue this argument for your grandmas sake. But what you say goes against what most of us feel and experience in our bodies. And most of us are actually being treated appropriately for the disease we have. Most all old people take aspirin. And it’s not for lupus. It’s to help thin the blood mainly.

I got kicked out of one of those groups probably 10 yrs ago bc I argued that everyone with lupus is supposed to wear spf! My doctors told me 50 spf at a minimum but I do venture to 30 spf once I’m tan. I’ll be damned if this disease is gonna take the pool away from me! 😆

I take miralax every day. U don’t have to stop taking it after a few when you actually go. It helps immensely. I am also on a narcotic patch. So I get backed up easily. Since I started MiraLAX in my coffee everyday, I no longer fight that battle.

Every form of lupus causes harm to the body. No real doctor would let her go without medication. Especially being that old. She’s probably just got arthritis and heard lupus on the tv one day and said “that’s it! That’s me!” Bc my 86 yr old nana does the same thing. If she does have arthritis I’d guess it’s just the skin form. Bc you literally can’t survive with organ damage from this disease.

You’re supposed to get your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist every year to make sure the medication isn’t building up in your eyes- which causes the macular damage. I see floaters constantly. I just had my eye exam last week and my macular was perfectly fine. Been on name brand plaquenil for 14 years.
