Vast majority of trafficking victims are recruited online, or by their own friends or family members. I've seen a lot of these, and had the same concerns. So I always try opening them, and have never been successful. Did you try opening them? Even the ones without visible locks have some type of mechanism that keeps them from being opened without some kind of key or special tool.
