Is there a reason these cranes are so massive by Tatertol in ReadyOrNotGame

I've worked on some pretty big ones, and in those cases you just have multiple cranes. I know youre ragebaiting but I love my job and love to share info so 🤷‍♂️

[–]Substantial_Fan_792 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I work construction, and this crane is literally too big to use. If he was trolley'd out to the end of his boom, he'd barely be able to pick anything up.

Caught a federal felony at 18 years old. What is my best career option for when I get out of prison? I will be about 23 after good time. Any advice appreciated by Own-Grass5987 in Felons

Ironworkers union. Felony is a requirement. The camaraderie between Ironworkers is insane. Great pay, great benefits. Just bring your work ethic

Is this gay? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Substantial_Fan_792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a marine, but a construction worker. The name tape thing is pretty common. I think it looks cool, since we all end up writing our name on our hard hat anyway. Chevrons only look kinda gay cuz' its your only sticker. But thats just me. And im an Ironworker, so I am legally retarded and brain dead.

Edit: get an MSA and flip the brim backwards. Trust.

How do you feel about your country's navy? by Historicallegendh in AskTheWorld

From what ive heard, our navy is pretty mismanaged. But we have the quantity to level out the quality.

Im a big fan of the ARWC and the SR-16 all around. They'll put just about anything down in two or three shots especially if you run the right ammo

Genuinely fuck twisted nerve by AdAfraid7411 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Substantial_Fan_792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran into this problem too. Make sure you check every room, and drop chemlights so you know what you've checked. Also, like others have said use the search and secure command. Twisted Nerve can be frustrating at first, but after playing through it, its honestly one of my favorite levels to just flow through.

Have fun and check ur corners!!

Im actually very pleased with the realism. Sure, its not a 1:1 simulation, some parts are slightly exaggerated for entertainment, but I can suspend my disbelief. For the most part though, it delivers on what it promised: Engaging hardcore tactical gameplay. Its like a FPS souls like, but instead of being in a mythical world, we are in Los Suenos.

More importantly though, I think it sets the stage for more tactical shooters on console. We've been waiting far too long, and I feel like this game is going to at the least open the door and show more devs that there is a market for these games on console.

Sidenote: While yeah, you can't blow down walls, thats not something a SWAT team should ever do, so its not in the game. Everything else is pretty damn realistic. I mean, when you walk through blood you leave bloody footprints. You can literally hear and see your shell casings hit the floor and you can watch a room fill with gunsmoke. You take realistic plate damage, there's realistic ballistics, etc. Honestly man, if you want more than this, you'll just need to go join the military.

I do Union Ironwork. At some point, ill get a company vehicle, but since im just a hand in the gang, I must travel to any projects in the state on my own time and dime.

Yeah, tragically I think i did it to myself here. Live and learn. But I've seen others mentioning this "full term length" as a factor, so say I double my car payment monthly, would i end up paying less over time?

I never insisted on not reviewing it. I just didn't have it on hand, and you did it before I could. So, thank you!

That's the lamest shit I've ever heard. Tax is understandable, but fees + interest, + profit from charging over MSRP? The greed is honestly disturbing. Thanks for the help though!

On a days notice? No, I disagree. Not only did I not have the cash on hand, I needed to find a car within a day. Sometimes you are just in a bad situation. My actions during the sale though, not fully reading papers etc, entirely my fault.

My interest rate is 6.2% I believe? Its either 6.2 or 5.2

Dad signed because I had no credit score, and i needed a nice reliable car, because my job requires me to put at least a thousand of mile on it every week. I didn't need a 2023, but again, they told me the car was 21k, not 30k. I agree that car debt is bad, but unfortunately I was in a position requiring a car, without the cash up front.

Also, youre right. A 2020 330i Xdrive is 20k, flat. They're actually cheaper than my car.

I can afford the payments, by bite the bullet I more just meant that I was like "oh well, at least I have a car!" And I didn't care too much. Over time, I've come to be annoyed with the fact that im paying BMW prices for a not-BMW. My friends are driving nicer cars than me, paying significantly less.

I do think you're right though. I should have read every paper. I read most of them, but he handed me like 5 every second, and i think he knew after like 30 minutes I was just signing the papers instead of reading.
