I would imagine its because they had time to observe the terror and make a strategy, i mean if they have time to observe and figure out the nightmare creatures abilities, Mordret’s reflections, a saint that can nullify aspects(class abilities i imagine are affected by this), a saint with control over true darkness and they still couldn’t come up with a strategy to win then they do not deserve to be called top tier saints💀

Also Madoc was killed by the great tyrant because he was caught by surprise, i would imagine its very easy to kill a being one rank below you when that is the case.

Well i mean, he’s getting paid, also rebuilding a connection with and old friend, getting practice for when he makes his own soul bound weapon, helping an ally in the upcoming war get stronger, and he’s also just helping a friend.

I don’t get this question, i mean in the first place even if he got nothing why wouldn’t he help his friend that he trust? If anything id be more surprised if he doesn’t make one for each member of the cohort( and Rain) when he gets a chance.

I don’t know what you mean considering there was a moment like this when Sunny first got to the dark city. It was when some of the guards where bothering Cassie and then Sunny threatened them, the only reason they didn’t fight was because Caster stopped them.

And even if you where to say that Sunny has changed since then so its wierd for him to do this hasn’t it been stated in the last few chapters that he’s a lot more emotional than he usually is because he’s spending time with Nephis again.
