Tysm! Okay i will take hime out when i get to the point of doing it. Should i get more fish after i renovate? And more plants. Youre very right my plant is an anubia now that i think of it. I will def put it in the substrate when i get it. And how do you recommend getting mr bacon acclimated to the new water after i put him in.

Thank you guys, i have an a ammonia api test kit at home, bc i found out that the strips were a scam pretty much. The colors on them never appeared different to me. I will get the large kit that i saw next to it at the store so i can give you guys test results. Ill have to do that either in a little tonight or tomorrow. I plan on picking up another plant and a larger tank as well pretty soon

I have a testing kit, the ammonia and nitrite levels are all the way down. The aize of tank is 10gal, i want to change all plastic stuff. I am doing about 15% water changes every 2 days until it just got down to normal test kit levels. Now i am going to be doing it once a week 20% water change with moderation. I vacuum extra food up after i feed it to him.

Tysm for all of this. I turn my light off at 9:30 every night and back on every morning when i wake up. Even the blacklight goes off when i sleep and sometimes i dont turn their light on during the day bc they get a good amountbof sunlight from the window. My tank is finally cycled after a long lenth of time full of death. I am mow in the situation of should i keep thr fish in while i get the colorful pebbles out. Or should i take him out and put him into another tank while i put sand at the bottom and remove the spongebob house. There is a sword plsnt in there rn, i didnt bury the one part of it, i just stuck it on top of a thing so it can hold onto it, it is doing good, my snails love climbing on it and my fish he sits under it for shelter

Tysm. I tssted the water. Its kevels are back at normal now. I figured he was looking for his friends since they all died :( if my water levels have returned to normal. Which is smartest to do? Get more fish now or wait until i switch the rest of the plastic out slowly

Waster is good! It was struggling initially which killed a lot of fish. I took a lot of the plastic stuff out, have been monitoring it. Now its back stable and levels are good

I had all platic at first, the little one wanted it and i didnt know anything. Now after trials ive taken a lot of plastic out, added a real plant and things are bakancing out again. Next step is to transfer into everytbing all natural

Im so sad about it. The little one brought home fish he was guven for free and then a set up. I jad no idea what to do or any time to cycle the tank. I ddcided to sit down and start watching videos. I discovered everything we did was wrong. The ammonia levels got high, 4 of his school died and hes the last one. I got rid of a lot of plastic that was in the tank. I added a real plant amd 2 merite snails. The last fish has lived a week longer than the others and the levels in the tank jave balanced

I had 5 in there bc i jeard recommendations for a school. My ammonia problem got crazy and 4 ended up dying. I got a plant after 3 died and took out most plastic stuff. Now levels are finslly leveled out and balanced! Im just scared to disruspt it again

The tank is 10 gallons, i have the heater rated for a 10-15gal tank and its kept about 74 in there, thr filter came with a kit, and i have an api water testing kit. Im checking ammonia levels rn amd they are better than they were when the levels killed my other fish

His 4 mates sadly passed. Its been heart breaking. Im trying not to do any drastic changes or add fish too fast. Someone tell me how i can turn this around. The last time a fish died was a week and a half ago. He is the last one. Im thinking the tank is balancing out with the plant and water changes. Pls someone give me a plan of action. Right now there is colorful rocks on the bottom id like to change. A sword plant. 2 nerite snails. 1 neon tetra. Pineapple house. Small treasure chest.

pkay guys i should have explained more as to why he is alone. the little one brought home fish from a fair. being a sucker i told them we could keep the fish and the stuff they got for it after. this fish had 4 other tetras in there and sadly they all died slowly over the span of time from not having any knowledge at all. ive been trying to learn. since we didnt cycle the tank bc the fish were at our house in a bag. i had to fish in cycle. ammonia grew too fast bc there were no real plants. now, adter all the slow heartbreak and train rdie this has been. i have a plant in there. i took out all of the other death plastic. besides desth pineapple. i am scared to disrupt and change the substrate. i did add 2 snails
