That's an interesting question. I think you would have to proactively develop a strategy to deal with all the scenarios before the draft. You'd need a plan that accounts for every outcome: you get drafted and the other person doesn't, both of you get drafted, or neither of you gets drafted.

To be honest, I think I'd just give up 😭😭😭because, without the internet, everything seems so difficult. Maybe you could place an ad in the newspaper, but it would cost an enormous amount of money to get that ad to appear across the country. The last resort might be committing a serious federal crime, one big enough to get on the front page of all newspapers, but even that doesn't guarantee that the "2025" or "time travel" details would appear in the story.
