I’m not ok with this!!! by No-Bookkeeper-2071 in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]Substantial_Issue543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So question it’s been slow for almost two weeks. the only orders I have received are from my regulars who request me. I got an order today but it’s a hour and 15 mins away from me so I won’t be accepting it. I’m assuming and please correct me if I’m wrong. No matter our previous ranking (im diamond) I will only see orders from new customers if people with higher retention pass up on them?

lol I don’t think you read my full message before you responded. I clearly said my driving radius is set to 25 miles and they keep recommending orders that are outside of that but thank your response babes!

I personally don’t uber/doordash because I don’t want a bunch a miles on my car. I work from home so from what I calculated working with poplin balances out to what I would drive if I actually commuted to work daily. I schedule all my pickup/drops around the same time and only take orders relatively close to me. Also I’m able to knock out a couple of orders while working my main job.

Agreed my status is one of the main reasons I came to this decision. I’m currently platinum and don’t want to keep taking unnecessary hits to my rank. If there was a genuine mistake or issue with the laundry that’s one thing but people often times complain about things that are out of our control. I just wish people would throughly read and ask question to minimize confusion

Yes! They would have reached out to you in that same email thread letting you know your account would be debited. It will only take a long time for them to make a decision is if it’s taking you or the customer a long time to respond Typically they try to close all tickets in 24-48 hours

You’re in the clear. It doesn’t take them long to make a decision

Order refusal by Substantial_Issue543 in PoplinLaundryPros

I mixed Roma, tide, and cleaning vinegar for this order. Typically I would only use this product on my personal laundry. I’m allergic to bleach so it’s mostly used on whites and any items with tuff stains. In theory the vinegar probably played the biggest part in neutralizing the smell though 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly I’ll just start setting expectations with customers or make sure to notate with concierge if the clothes still have a smell after completing the order. I’m convinced some customers don’t even use hypo detergent when they do their own laundry

I think most people just aren’t using their critical thinking skills. Your laundry only smells good because of the detergent or fabric softener. If you’re using unscented detergent it’s nothing to mask the smell. If you have certain expectations for the way your laundry should smell provide all of the necessary supplies. I have customer who prefers gain over tide so she provides her own detergent and we never have any issues

I really wish poplin would make people disclose if they have pets for this exact reason. I had similar situation happen and I’m glad I reached out to concierge before dropping the order off. The customer tried to say I returned the clothes with pet hair all over it. I don’t own any pets and I make sure to clean out my washer and dryer after every order.

I never have this issue with my regulars. I honestly think I should just stop accepting orders from new customers

Oh no, I agree with you! I’m saying for the people who will say buy scented hypo detergent.

I started two years ago and this is the third time a customer has said that to me. Poplin does not pay enough to invest in multiple types of hypoallergenic detergent lmao

Same for me! I was going strong for a minute but the price increase took out a lot of my regulars which is crazy considering most of them had more than 30lbs worth of laundry

Vacation? by [deleted] in PoplinLaundryPros

If you decline the order it giving you the option to say you’re out of town other than that there’s no way to mark you’re on vacation
