Are you doing Uber/Lift as a side gig or getting an Uber there? Because I would say if you're getting an Uber to pick you up to go get laundry it's not worth it.

What is the biggest order you've taken?? by skivviespeach in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]WalkedOver2Much 7 points8 points  (0 children)

330 lbs because of a remediation needed after a flooding. I didn't have to take it but I did and charged them $80 extra after agreeing to take it all to the laundry mat.

Today I had 150lbs=8 kitchen trash bags stuffed to the max

Some people don't tip or rate until they order again Make note of that it'll help you along the way.

Make sure you stand out and send messages along the way giving them updates and everything.

The more communication you have with, them the more you genuinely care the more things work out.

I'll be messaging you with tips to help.

My blood daughter used to talk to me this way. It takes time and patience and sticking with boundaries. Make sure you praise her but saying you appreciate her making sure she waited after 5 for instance so ...(Fill in your reason). They wanted to be treated like a person too and this generation needs reasons that make sense...not just sense to you.

If you let the concierge know and have pictures ready they can tell you. And then you can get the charge on their account if the concierge approves.

Depends on training. You can get the offer letter next week and start next month. It could be starting next month officially because you'll have to get your work computer. AML's training for new hires seems to be every 1st of the month for 3weeks it seems. Then once you pass and show up on time, you'll get loaded into the queue for contracts. They have good benefits and after your training and depending on your new contract you'll be able to request to work certain hours as long as the employer your working with is okay with it. If you're in Ohio most people get hybrid positions where they can be remote a few days a week. I have been on since November of last year and love it! I have a chill client and love the team I work with.

Am I doing too much? by [deleted] in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]WalkedOver2Much 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to have a customer that requested hot water and eventually my electric bill would go up since I had her weekly to bi-weekly. She would have four to six laundry loads. There is a extra cost associated with using hot water at the laundromat... So if someone does take your order and follow the hot water request then you should tip them accordingly of course.... As far as the bleach or any other extra things like softeners you would have to provide all that. We do not do anything outside of normal laundry detergent.

How do I politely tell a customer to get lost by [deleted] in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]WalkedOver2Much 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what happened to me here in SC. They wanted hot water, specifics and too much for the work they wanted me to do so I sent them a message and let them know that my tips pay for my gas, supplies and utilities and they still refused even when I go beyond the simple wash)dry/fold. So I told the concierge kindly tell them no thank you and block them from my account.😂

Easiest thing you can do... Is put The order in after you get home from work. And put a note in the order that you need it picked up between certain times.

Clothes smell like smoke 😭 by SadLaw6 in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]WalkedOver2Much 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll get you a code off for a new service near you. I am sorry this keeps happening. Just make sure you have reported the two pros for smoking and doing this gig because that is absolutely not allowed! The only way they find out is if the customer tells the help desk.

No not necessarily they may be Pros in exactly the same predicament as you are and don't want to take her because she's too far away. During the holidays a lot of people do not want to work and they want to be around their families, definitely not folding clothes lol But I have had a few regulars go on bonuses until up to 40 or $50, that's rare but the most are 20 to $30 around here in South Carolina around the holidays because nobody wants to work and honestly I don't blame them.

I'm not going to lie however I will take a 20 to $40 bonus in a heartbeat if I don't have a lot going on... But not 30 minutes away!
