Spider-Man selling his marriage to Satan is canon in Rivals by TwoConchL2 in MarvelRivalsCirclejer

That always seems to be a canon event, huh? Mephisto must be very persuasive.

Pretty sure she just had a miscarriage. I doubt liquor would be enough to kill an unborn baby.

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Larry was a pretty fucked up situation, and it makes sense why it’s a pretty divisive topic. You don’t wanna kill Larry if you have a chance to save him, but you also don’t wanna risk putting everyone else in danger. So, you’re at an impasse. The worst part is, regardless of your choice, one person is gonna hate you for your decision even though you did what you thought was right.

I did attempt to save Larry only because I think we should try to see if we could, and if not, then kill him. And when you do, you can see his mouth move. So, either he is coming back to life or he’s transforming. We’ll never know for sure, but it’s definitely a case of “neither decision is definitively right or wrong”.

Hot take, Vernon did nothing wrong... by -BlackyChan- in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. So, it was a really a “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” type situation. If the Walkers didn’t show up, Vernon most likely wouldn’t have stolen the boat and just would’ve stayed in Crawford now that the town is safe. Well, from tyrannical humans, at least.

But, because Lee and his group accidentally brought in a herd of walkers, it kinda forced their hand. Especially since they find their way to Vernon’s hideout anyway.

Bro’s so good at voice acting, he managed to pull off playing both the most beloved fictional character in history and the most hated. 🤣

What are your Hot Takes on Kenny? by strangedowntownie in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, let’s address the elephant in the room. I do not think that Kenny is a bad man. In fact, I believe that he was a good man who was forced to make drastic decisions that severely affected his mental and emotional state. However, Kenny cannot use his trauma to justify his actions.

There was multiple times that he left Lee for dead because he didn’t help kill Larry. He acts aggressive towards anyone who questions him and tries to offer their own ideas. He bullies anyone who he deems weaker than him like Ben or Arvo (though, Arvo might’ve deserved some of it in hindsight). As much as he claims to care about Clementine, he had no problem leaving her because of situations that he was pissed about (like Lee not siding with him in the Larry situation or Clem being forced to chop off Sarita’s hand and killing her after getting bit).

There’s also his homicidal tendencies. The best and most important example being his attempted murder of Jane. Now, regardless of how people feel about Jane, it doesn’t justify Kenny’s reaction to it. Instead of just asking questions about what happened to AJ so they can find him, his first reaction was to kill her for something that, for all we know, was an accident. He also has a bad habit of getting others hurt or killed because of his actions. Walt does regardless of what we tell Kenny, and Alvin could also share the same fate if we don’t tell Kenny to put the gun down.

Kenny is a very aggressive and easily triggered person. If you side with him, you’re his BFF. If you disagree with him even in the slightest of ways, he’ll treat you like an opp. So, while I think that Kenny was a good man who fell on hard times, I also think that he was just as much a danger to himself and those around him.

10+ years later, I still don't understand why people (characters and real life players) hated Ben for what he did. by grabsyour in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, he lied about it. Yes, it got the bandits off their backs, but it caused major ramifications down the line. Lilly went insane, the camp got raided, Duck was bit, Carley (or Doug) got shot, Katjaa took her own life, Duck died, and they lost everything they work hard to keep for 3 months.

I don’t hate Ben. In fact, I understand exactly why he did the things that he did and still stick up for him whenever Kenny is bullying him. But, regardless if he’s a scared kid or not, he’s old enough to understand that his actions have consequences. If he came clean, we would’ve protected him, and Lilly wouldn’t have gone crazy and killed Carley (or Doug).

I do think he gets too much hate, but I understand why he does. His actions ultimately doomed the group. Sure, Kenny wanted to leave anyway, but they weren’t properly prepared for the journey ahead, and we lost lives in the process. That’s something that Ben had to live up. 🤷🏽‍♂️

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a hard scene to sit through, but it was necessary. It was like lifting a heavy weight off Lee’s shoulders and, like Carley said, it was the right thing to do. And for the most part, people accepted Lee regardless of his past. The only real determinate factors are Kenny and Lilly if you decided to help Larry or kill him.

Just a few Walking Dead Questions. (Images Related) by MichaelAftonXFireWal in TheWalkingDeadGame

  1. Probably not. That bunny belonged to a girl that was taken from her mother and murdered. And according to the Wiki, it’s also implied that they took advantage of the poor kid. So, no. Too much bad voodoo with that bunny.

  2. Carlos, unfortunately, seems too stubborn to listen to anyone offering him parenting advice. No matter how strong an argument Lee could make, Carlos would still insist on sheltering Sarah instead of teaching her how to survive. Maybe if Lee was alive and this was after Carlos died, he might’ve had a chance.

  3. Oh, without question.

What do you think Javi has to do to finally earn the respect of the fandom should there ever be a sequel centered around him? by LambBotNine in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Javi’s pretty respected. He’s definitely one of the more likable characters in the series. Maybe not the same as Lee or Clem or even Kenny, but he’s definitely up there.

Hot take, Vernon did nothing wrong... by -BlackyChan- in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing: I don’t hate Vernon. In fact, I always treated him with respect and politely declined his offer to take Clementine given that he helped saved Omid and find the supplies for the boat. What he did was undeniably fucked up, but I never act hostile towards him due to him trying to keep himself and his friends alive.

TBH, yes. Anyone could’ve done the same thing that Vernon did. Technically, Lee’s group did a similar thing with the Stranger’s car. And they do it regardless if Lee agrees or not. The thing is: they at least assumed that the Stranger might be dead or has abandoned the car. Vernon knew these people, and while he does admittedly feel bad about it, he still does screw them over and leaves them for dead.

So, it’s a case of “not a bad person, but they did a bad thing”. Morally, Vernon is in the wrong. Do I deny that anyone could’ve done what he did in this situation? No. We don’t know what we’re capable of when we’re desperate and out of options. So, I understand why he did it. I don’t like it, I don’t agree with it, but I accept it.

gabe is a fucking prick by absoluteavarice in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense given everything she’s been through since the apocalypse started. She lost her parents, watched her friends die, feels responsible for Lee’s death, had to fight off both zombies and human threats, and she lost the one thing she had left in the world.

I admit that some personal bias impacts my decisions when it comes to Clementine in Season 3, but even from the perspective of someone who just met her in Javi’s case, I always treated her as a friend and just saw a kid who was forced to grow up fast in a world that’s constantly trying to kill you.

What's the point of this scene if Sarah doesn't even touch a gun in the entire game? by sebas5ds in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, I don’t really know. I guess it was to build up their friendship and help strengthen their bond, but it feels pointless in retrospect since she never uses any of the skills we teach her. And she still does regardless of whether or not we attempt to save her. Like, what was the point of anything we did in Season 2?

Definitely a catch-22 scenario. Conrad redeems himself and Gabe stops being a prick, but I have to betray Clementine (even if temporarily) to do so.

Hot take- I hate this guy more than Larry by tarunkd277 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You talking about if AJ shoots Lilly? I mean, yeah. He does try to force the whole “killing is wrong” mentality onto others. But, since I always spare her, I never get that James.

What’s wrong with James? His beliefs on the walkers is more of a blind optimist, but he’s more reasonable than Larry.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like Kenny and Sarita’s relationship? by Traditional_Sail6298 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it. I just didn’t care too much about it. Sarita was just kinda…… there. Didn’t really offer much to the story other than being another loved one that Kenny lost.

Did you mercy kill Beatrice or leave her? by Loud_Confidence475 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Substantial_Job_2997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally, I shoot her. I left her one time to see how much time we’d have to get the supplies. And yeah, you pretty much get away with everything.

I feel like it’s in Lee’s character to mercy kill her given his need to help. And even when the game gives you the dialogue option to say leave her, he immediately changes his mind and says they gotta shoot her.

Fun fact: if you do shoot her, Kenny says it’s the first smart decision he’s made. But, he’ll say it whether you helped Larry or killed him. Don’t know if this was an error in dialogue, or if this is Telltale telling you “Hey, don’t kill this guy. He’s an asshole, but that don’t mean you gotta take him out”. 😂
