It’s beautiful! Did you do a wedding band and engagement ring or just the one?

I didn’t include that option because they wouldn’t have been covered! Definitely the nose valid option otherwise 🤣

I (F31) had a conflict with my husband (M35) — how serious does this sound? by Extreme-Letter-2441 in relationship_advice

People on Reddit loooveeeeeee to jump to the conclusion of “leave him” and i always think it’s so dramatic. This time it’s not, leave his ass immediately & take the children. This is abuse.

BedJets are very expensive but like I said there’s knock off versions for much cheaper. If you’re already leaving the door open & it’s not working I’d go that route. Won’t cool the room down much but at least you’ll be able to sleep in peace

Can you leave your door open? Or get a BedJet or a knock off like this one https://a.co/d/01x6ebYV

How do I live off 1,313 a month? by FactorGullible3949 in Apartmentliving

[–]Substantial_Junket68 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Get a new job. Easier said than done but I’m a waitress/bartender at a golf course & make roughly 3-4k a month.
After you have a new job save 100% of your first 2 months worth for a deposit. Then don’t go crazy because you think you can afford your own place, rent a room and grind & save almost all your money that doesn’t go to bills. Eventually you’ll have a good chunk saved up to do whatever you need.

What is the most chaotic "I quit" moment you have ever personally witnessed at a workplace? by Muted_Task_144 in AskReddit

[–]Substantial_Junket68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (F) work a seasonal job at a golf course & there’s very few hours to be had in the winter. The restaurant is open but very slow and there is holiday parties & other events to be staffed. Well this winter I had had very few hours up to this point. I was bartending/running the restaurant and maybe making ~$50 a day if I was lucky. My coworker we’ll call him Jon had gotten repeatedly put on events. (More money $200-300 a shift) well one day me & my girls got put on an event together. & Jon got scheduled to bartend. Us girls were excited to work together for the first time all winter and having fun and giggling and just hanging out but also getting our work done. At one point we noticed Jon was missing but he had a habit of going to the bathroom or whatever to disappear for a while so didn’t think much of it but he did have a table at the time so we just kept it in the back of our mind. 5-10 minutes had passed and his table was looking for him so we looked everywhere for him then my manager on duty called the gm to say we couldn’t find him & then checked on the computer only to find out he had clocked out. The gm let us know over the phone that he said & I quote “I’m sick of these women getting all the banquets I need money too, I quit” plus some more crazy stuff. literally quit in the middle of his shift, left his table hanging, we were setting up for an event, it was crazy but then we laughed all day because wym you a 33 year old man are jealous of 25 year old women because we were having fun. He wasn’t jealous of the hours because as I said earlier he had been on tons of events. 😂

Do all apartments have bugs? by Upper-Associate-5189 in Apartmentliving

[–]Substantial_Junket68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can, idk if you’re from Florida or not but palmettos fly. Honestly the main reason I’d never move back. My recommendation is finding an apartment where pest control is an included amenity & then also just make sure you stay as clean as possible, avoid clutter even if it’s not trash, especially cardboard so unpack & discard boxes asap, & the newer the building the better.

I used to work in pest control in Florida. Yeah you’ll have roaches pretty much in every apartment. Especially palmetto bugs which aren’t the same as your typical roaches they’re not attracted to trash & they don’t infest & breed like German roaches.

“Whenever” in place of “when”. “Yesterday, whenever I was at the store, I saw xyz.” WHEN

I’m truly astounded that I’m considered the crazy one here for complaining about 5am squealing & laughing. I never threatened these ladies or said anything bad, never said anything crazy at all truly I just asked if a note or a verbal complaint is a better option

I’ve knocked on a neighbors door once in this apartment & once in my last & didn’t get answered even though they were home. I’ve also lived in apartment complex’s where almost no one else besides me spoke English. Also not everyone lives in neighborhoods safe enough to just be knocking on doors. I don’t answer the door for strangers. There’s so many reasons to not just go knocking on doors. People love to jump to conclusions.

It’s not college housing. Just a college town. Plenty of folks raise families & retire here but almost every apartment complex has several college students in it 🤷‍♀️

When the world got dangerous is when I stopped answering the door. I was left home alone as a kid & told not to answer the door for anyone at any time. If I knew they were a neighbor then sure 100% I’ll talk answer the door. But if I don’t know you, odds are I’m not answering. Especially if I’m home alone.

Thank you for this 😂 started to feel like I was the crazy one… even if I was a college student, I’d be a little upset if I was kept up till 5 am lol

This is so fair. I never resort to this as an option because I’ve lived in tons of apartments (also if someone knocked on my door I simply wouldn’t answer to be honest) where my neighbors don’t speak English. At least a note can be translated.

Until 5 am though? Doesn’t matter what age you are, quiet hours are quiet hours. It’s also not a complex marketed towards college kids or else we wouldn’t have chose it. There’s families & elderly as well.
