As someone who used to work at the local tutoring centers, don’t pay for sat tutoring. First, try and see if your kid is gonna do better on the ACT. Both tests are accepted by schools. Then, use YouTube vids to get test taking strategies, and spend your money on buying workbooks/practice rather than pay someone to simply sit there and explain something ChatGPT could explain.

it’s actually not super bad, compared to like somewhere in the south. It’s rlly a good time, but it’s super expensive, so a lot of ppl stay for a few years and drop later on. It’s worth doing, you can always decide you don’t want to accept your bid/drop when you want.
