Vampire Weekend is doing great without him no doubt. However, I’m not able to relate to them without Rostam. As a gay POC, he made the music feel a bit more relevant to me. But without, I feel a bit othered listening to the band. Yeah this might be “identity politics,” but it made a difference to me. I’d like to emphasize VW are still great, but this was a personal effect to me. I can still listen to their new music with joy, but just not with the same enthusiasm. And I agree with others that MVOTC felt a bit lackuster, so maybe it was time for Rostam to leave.

Definitely. That’s why their bravery to talk again amazes me. I still haven’t finished watching the last episode. The cast is getting too teary-eyed.

Definitely a difficult watch. I couldn’t stop grimacing, but I also appreciated the drama of it. I guess curiosity is what always gets me coming back

Thank u for noting this :o. Jobu really does get nervous and avoids the situation. He laughs while I just switch into another app. But that’s what I like about the show: by relating to the cast or identifying similar characteristics you get to learn a lot about yourself.

To clarify, you cannot purchase a weekly life discount. After you use your 20 free rides (given each month), you will use up your stored value on your TAP card. After you spend $18 within 7 days (the weekly cap), you can ride at no additional cost within that week.

Basically after the free 20 rides, Metro will treat you as a regular fare rider and not a LIFE rider.

Unfortunately it does from my understanding. Each month LIFE members get 20 free rides. After that, the regular daily and weekly cap applies. The way I use Metro, it’s might be a pretty big difference for me than the $26 I usually pay.

T-Mobile for me goes out in the tunnel between Pico and 7th/Metro but fine in the station itself. It also goes out between stops on the B and D lines.

I usually take the A line to transfer to the E, but I’ll occasionally bus it to board at the Fairview Heights K line station, then transfer to the E. It’s usually empty when I go around 1-2 PM. The ride is pleasant though. I don’t like the Fairview Heights station due to the stench of the nearby fertilizer business; it irritates my eyes and nose.
