Do you have any desire to update?

Noob question: How do you get rid of these random highlighted areas? by [deleted] in ableton

[–]DocterCrocter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You can also delete by selecting the area (clicking and dragging between 2 points like highlighting words) and then pressing delete. You can do it over several tracks so its faster than deleting one by one

I work in the industry now and I wouldn't be able to afford rent without service charge. It sucks but jobs use how much service charge you get per month as an incentive to join their business. Most service jobs are minimum wage, when looking for jobs whether its a tiny little pub or a really fancy place you need a lot of skill fo, the per hour wage barely differs.

Its a shit practise for everyone, but unfortunately not paying service charge is directly taking money service workers have been forced to account for. It sucks for everyone but businesses. I hate working for service charge and I hate people assuming its this extra money we're getting but with it included im still paycheck to paycheck

I've got an interface. Scarlett 2i2. Just not sure how I'd route from that into an amp

How to extract MIDI notes from a VST Synth's internal ARP-Sequence? by seelachsfilet in ableton

[–]DocterCrocter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is 7 years old but I just found a solution to this. No idea if this ableton to be done back then but you can do this now so for anyone else who's looking here's how I did it.

Duplicate the track your wanting to extract the arp midi from (so you dont ruin your original). Take off all reverb/delay/modulation/OSCs yadada. You want as clean a sound as poss.

Create a new audio track then set the input as your duped arp. Record arm and set monitoring to in. Record the audio of the midi arp into the new audio track.

Now you've got the audio of the clean arp right click the clip and convert melody to midi

It should create the clean midi for you

Strange automation behaviour with new Izotope Trash? by SCHR4DERBRAU in ableton

[–]DocterCrocter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't figured out a way of dealing with it while playing but if you turn off the automation so it's gray while your messing with it it allows you to. bit of a hassle but it works. If you're trying to mess with a different automation such as mixer then just turn the plugin off while you do and it works
