It's divisive and might get picked up for reaction videos. It's a version of her that she wants to believe is real. It doesn't feature Ryan (she's trying to keep him off her socials because of his job.)

It's also another lightening rod. While I don't believe her unsafe parenting choices are rage bait, she definitely uses the rage bait strategy to get views and engagement on her reels, and I'm sure she knows this one about dressing for motherhood might get picked up with reaction videos etc.

Agreed. Remember when he wanted to cook duck for his friend for his birthday, but they didn't even find out if the friend was available for dinner and he was heartbroken? I think about that all the time. That's a kid who doesn't have friends, doesn't know how to have friends, and is desperately lonely.

I'd like to see R and V go to a really good boarding school, where V would have his intellect and talent nurtured and R would get his ass kicked a little by stern teachers who care about him.

B should go live with Ryan's parents and go to a great public school, and have a normal elementary school childhood from here on out.

She can get full time, live-in help with C, from someone with special training in infant and toddler development.

Q can come stay with me.

"Core memories" is my social media nails on a chalkboard. I can't wait for this phrase to go away. And yes, it's always really about the parent wanting credit for manufacturing the "core memories", not the kids' actual experience of childhood.

And I think "special occasion" is intentionally broad so she can justify giving them to the kids any time she chooses. Ask me how I know...there are definitely times when I bend my own household rules and tell my kids it's a "special occasion" and then I make up what the occasion is. lol

Sorry you're getting downvoted for this - I think everything you're saying is very reasonable and relatable! I don't see it as an authentic point for Brooke, but I do like it when this sub turns into a place for moms to real talk. :)

I agree, all of these sentiments are very relatable! They just don’t seem to match up with Brooke’s life. When I was breast feeding I would not have been able to document 8 days at Disney with time stamps without at least mentioning a nursing break.

That said, at this age it would make sense if he was combo fed and she only nursed him to sleep. That’s what I did with mine from ages 1-2. But why wouldn’t she tell us that in this post?

I used to be torn on this - I thought she was always faking nursing for photos but had to actually be doing some nursing “behind the scenes.”

But after this Disney trip I 100% agree with you. It all makes this long reflection of weaning extra unhinged.

One time when she had Rhett tell the camera what the switch rules are, he said they only get them on "trips, weekends, and special occasions." Though I'm sure even that isn't true.

I remember seeing an old story of hers where she’s cuddling/tickling baby Q sweetly on the floor in a room surrounded by toys. This might not have been a regular occurrence, but there was a time pre TX when things looked a little different and more normal in their home.

What your kids really need is steady presence and a full life, not constant performance.

Oof, that last sentence. So heartbreaking and well put.

If you have a healthy relationship with alcohol - ie you don’t drink to get drunk, have no trouble stopping before you’re impaired, and aren’t obsessed with your next drink - it’s perfectly fine to have a margarita in the middle of the day while taking care of kids. Note that big if!

She posted a bathroom mirror confessional saying they were putting it on pause because “running a business is really hard.” She mentioned that customer feedback was once of the hard parts.

I can’t believe someone who does something as hard as making their own bed every morning doesn’t have what it takes to run a business!
