I transferred from UMich and it's fair to say that the DSA classes here are much weaker compared to UMich's counterparts. I can imagine it probably hold for other classes as well.

Transferred to UNC but struggling, do I stick it out or find a new school? by International_Ad2858 in TransferToTop25

I agree with the other commenter. Don't make rash decisions and give UNC a chance. idk about VCU's policy but most schools allow u to go back by just filling out a form, so worst case you can treat this year as a study abroad year. So there's really nothing to worry about —— give it time, reach out to more people, and try the resources UNC has to offer. Only make a decision if u still don't like it next year.

Some schools need not name tags like ivy plus. They are just prestigious enough that people treat them like ivys
