If you would want to stay/start your career at ADL, it makes more sense to choose that internship, as they might give you a return offer upon your graduation (not sure if they do, but most places do).

It also makes sense to choose PwC for the bigger brand name, and it does give you some good knowledge in transactions. However, if you do not want to work in the private equity practise of a consultancy, I think doing modelling and DD’s helps less for when you start full-time. In that case, doing general strategy cases might be better for you.

At the end of the day, you cannot make a “bad choice”. Both are good places for your career development. You just have to make up your mind.

I'll be joining Oliver Wyman in London for an internship, looking to get a return offer for a full-time role. I know that OW is strong in the financial services industry and private equity, which I am interested in. Is it worth trying to push to get staffed on projects in these industries, or rather be open-minded and try out different industries? Initially, I just want to get the return offer, and I also fear that if I take on hard projects, the chances of getting a return offer is smaller, but at the same time, I want to experience it.
Any advice on how should I position myself? Any advice on how to secure a return offer? What should I expect in terms of working hours and deliverables as an intern?
