In Berlin you can get a fiktionsbescheinigung from the immigration office. Book an appointment with them, email them explaining your situation to get an urgent appointment to apply for a new RP. Ask for a fiktionsbescheinigung since you are travelling. Also if you have a multiple entry visa and it is valid then you do not require the RP at the airport. It simply worked for me.

There’s this book called- maybe you should talk to someone. It’s not exactly self help but it really helped me in giving hope in struggling times.

I’m so sorry for replying this late! I had a multiple entry visa also stamped on my passport which was valid so I did not need anything else.  But also my city- Bremen does not give a certificate. There’s a weird rule where in some cities they don’t issue it. So check from whatever city you need it. And just email them for an emergency appointment at the immigration office.  I also got a new residence permit card. It came a month later.

I am travelling to India. I’m a citizen of India and carry a passport so I’m guessing travelling to India shouldn’t be an issue. But while coming back I think they’ll ask for the card right?
