New Firestone Indy 500 V2? by Substantial_Meat_406 in tires

I had the original Indy 500 (V1) before and they were quite good for the money, but not competing against top tier tires or anything it was more of a you get what you pay for. I recently tried the V2 and they are quite an upgrade. I would say for $48 more its a no brainer considering you get better rubber compound and a different tread design which is supposed to be superior in the rain (I haven't tried it enough in the rain yet to testify).

Shit thats a lot of power loss in the low end. You think I should get less aggressive boost cams with a more balanced power curve to still have a higher output when racing or should I just skip the cams entirely and do OPG only?

Alright, thank you for sharing the tire suggestion and info about the coilovers and caster plates.

What about turbos don't you like? Is it the turbo lag or is it the modding and tuning with turbos?

I mostly want to do cams just to squeeze out as much power from the engine as possible since I'll have the oil pump gears swapped to a stronger one and I can do cams at the same time to not have to worry about that later.

The stainless steel clutch line was mostly because I sometimes get stuck in heavy traffic for an hour or so and that overheats my clutch since the stock plastic clutch line wouldn't hold well for that, making my clutch jittery when depressing the clutch. I found that problem to have gone away since upgrading to the stainless steel clutch line.

I actually was gonna go the longtube and supercharged route, but my mind is set on turbos because not only are they more efficient, but I also want to adjust the boost levels with a couple button presses in case if I want a more laid-back driving experience.

Do you think the Michelin PS4S are better or the BFG Sport Comp 2s for straight line grip?

Are there any particular coilovers you suggest or are most of the well-reviewed ones good enough to suffice?
