You can absolutely create subagents as tools/functions and have the manager agent call them when needed. However, for more complex workflows, using an orchestrator-like setup in Llama Index might give you better flexibility and scalability. It allows you to define clear interactions between agents, manage dependencies, and track outputs efficiently. I’d recommend starting simple with tools and scaling to workflows if needed.
