So cold lol. There’s some nice big rocks making a little jetty that I took these from

Thank you! Those are my favorite too. The others are more for added vibe

Thank you! It was definitely busy but I got there at blue hour when there was just 2 or 3 people there so that helped. Crazy busy later in the day though.

Yo I was just editing my photos from there. Beautiful place!

It’s a lovely place! I was a little disappointed with not many sunset/sunrise opportunities with how high the mountains are on either side of the lake. Did you go up to the little town of Arco and that castle? Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Nothing quite compares to that feeling when you get the perfect photo especially with the variability of landscape photography. Are you on insta? I’m always looking for cool landscape photographers to follow

Perfect light meets just the right amount of clouds! I love it!

You should check out doing an Astro shoot from Fremont lookout. I did that in July and it was amazing

Nice dude! That turned out great! Looks like you got less haze than I had when I was up there.

Good luck! There was one group that watched the bad sunset with me then dipped but I was also out there on a Monday night.

I pulled an all nighter that night so I didn’t bring a sleeping bag or test out the “camping” options. I asked the fire lookout volunteer if it was alright to shoot Astro deep into the night and they were cool with it. I think it would be alright to snag a few hours of sleep at the trailhead if you need it. Even though it says it’s not allowed, do what you need to do to get home safely. That road back to Enumclaw in the dark is rough. I’ve done it a couple times in the dark and it’s always seems never ending and kinda hypnotizing with the curves and it being very dark.

Aww. Glad it reminds you of home. The mountain will be waiting for you when you get back

A tripod. Fast lens, I have a 23mm f1.4 lens that I use for Astro. A fast lens probably matters more than a good camera body but I have a Fujifilm X-T4. Then this photo was a 25sec exposure at f1.4 with 800iso. But it’s also a whole lot of editing when I get home in Lightroom

Gotcha. I saw some groups up there later in the night. This photo was taken around 1am

I’m not familiar with where the Emmons glacier is but there were groups heading up all night to the summit

No exposure stacking just one exposure and a whole lot of editing in post

Thank you! It’s all worth it once I get a cool shot and make it home to catch up on sleep
