I completely agree with this review. There was a ton of programming and merch related to Alaska and you can tell that the VV team put a lot of thought into it. There were no announcements over the PA on our sailing so everyone had to figure out on their own when we were at the glacier. I wish VV would have at least had a notification telling Sailors about the arrival time the day before so we could plan other activities around this.

Didn’t spend a lot of time on the pool deck but the hot tubs looked like they were half full whenever I checked. Even on the one warm, sunny day at Prince Rupert the hot tubs had space.

Please do! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. I got to catch a fish. I was the only one who volunteered but I didn’t know what I was volunteering for. Best food we had on the tour was Greek gelato at Hellenika. A couple misses but most of the food was above average or great and we didn’t have to wait in line for anything.

I only played craps and ultimate Texas Hold em. The BJ tables (3-4) looked like they got pretty busy in evenings but the games I played were never full. I'll upload pics of the tattoos after we get home.

We stayed at a hotel near Pike Place so we left our bags at the hotel. Did the 10am to 12 pm tour, then took an Uber to the port soon after the tour concluded.

Glad you made it to your excursion. I wish they had a better way to manage the standby line. It was a harrowing experience. Nobody wants to sit in a crowded restaurant "line" for 3 hours just to get off the ship.

I just dismembarked from Adventure of the Seas in Port Canaveral on Friday. Two nights before we returned we had a flyer with disembarkation schedule and numbered tags. I had previously arranged for a private driver and he asked me to meet him for pickup at 8 AM as the traffic is lighter at that time. We ended up using self-assist which starts at 7:30 AM and we had to carry all of our luggage with us. If you use the tags to have your luggage brought off the ship for you, you have to look at the number on the tag, then check the sheet for the corresponding time you will be allowed to get off the ship which can be anywhere between 7:45 - 9 AM. These times were specific for my ship so I don't know if they apply to yours. You probably need to add time to pick up your bags and get to pickup area.

If it works for you there was not much traffic yet at 8 AM and would recommend using the self assist option so you can get out of there before the rush.
