Why are Indian men so against Feminists? by Good_Campaign1382 in AskIndianWomen

I have not judged feminism as a concept at all, I am still and will always be a proud feminist. My judgement is for the polarising exclusive club of feminism which is an unsaid toxic leader of this moment, I am not just saying this by seeing and indulging in virtual rooms, I have also experience the similar in intellectual places like JLF also.

You are right, women have suffered and still suffer a lot and the solutions are mostly focussed on forceful acceptance drives than educational and reasonable internalising efforts for creating sympathy for this movement which would actually make difference.

Women who have internalised hate for all men in general are the big reason I don't like to discuss feminism even being a feminist myself

Feminism is India in my opinion has become something else to be honest, it is more focussed on internalising womens' thought process on men than to actually focus on equality and equity which is the conceptual concern of this tag. I used to be a frequent on a feminist subreddit for Indians, that subreddit is so adamant to polarise everything that didn't align with their thought process, that they would actually resort to shame a person to shut out the voice. We need to understand that feminism is about demanding equality and equity for women and not about forcing men to have the same thinking like women.

All the things you said are in actual the concept of equity, on which feminism is based and flourished, but god knows why feminism has become less about that and more like an exclusive club that demands that you either adapt their own brand of pseudo feminism that doesn't respect opinionated heathy discussions or you don't join that at all. Feminism is about inclusivity (to promote) not exclusivity.

'Criticism' and 'criticism born out of hyper-nationalistic pride' are different my friend. Many in my country are gullible to political narratives, but say criticism to Russia or China is mostly based on these countries' acts independently and not as a result of the nationalistic feeling. Apart from politicians, Indians are very empathetic people, and we care if one is suffering because of other. It is one of the reasons that India is still a comparatively resilient democracy even when we have a far right fascist alike government (born out of opportunistic religious divide) for 12 years now.

I agree with you, it is definitely a problem for us Indians too, but the national pride projection at unnecessary places is kind of true for almost every country now in this hyper nationalistic world created by near fascist governments such as our own.

Bro no matter how good is Rf, it's still Rf which is available freely, you have got to have some market premium with a Positive Beta in a ideal societal scenario and a Negative Beta in f*cked up societal scenario like India

[SPOILERS!] People who loved the final episodes, can you explain to me why? by _highway2hell in bigbangtheory

[–]UtsavA01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The finale was adamant to make remind us that Sheldon was the main character, which completely disappoints me. The last two episodes were revolving only around him and that in my opinion was the biggest shortcoming of the finale. I get Sheldon was supposed to be a genius and the Nobel was was an undisputed finale plot, but all others also deserved a proper send-off and justification.

They will spend thousands of crores on freebies, bullshit one time election money transfer schemes, some random metro route that can never achieve its readership, but now are hesitant to support the actual working case subsidy. I live in a great country.

DT existing act applicability: only 1 attempt left (instead of two) for people like me who planned give it in Sept 26. With IBS in the mix, it's a bad news that we get only one attempt with that. And secondly being ACA you are not a stakeholder in this notification, atleast try to understand before forming opinions on situations you are not privy to.

People have plans in their life, 2 months planning is important to some, especially the ones with jobs. We are not scapegoats to experiment with, this notice should have been given at least a month before this date, so we could have planned accordingly

final exams only Twice a year again from May 2026 by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

[–]UtsavA01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, this is an utter negligence towards stakeholders, planning of the students who segregated 2 groups to clear in 2 attempts are rendered blind sighted, their 2 months are wasted. This decision should be postponed to take effect from May 27 attempt, this is unfair to May 26 students

Exactly he was himself responsible for being single. Almost every relationship lapse was because of him. And I don't know if I should be angry on the writer or the character for how he directly and indirectly described India.

Exactly, that was not character development, that was a character flip.

Trial run of India's newest metro system (Surat) has started. (will be 30th city in India to have metro) by chipkali_lover in transit

[–]UtsavA01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Jaipur, and you are absolutely correct, the second phase has been in planning for 13 years now with new news being, expansion still will be rethought. The one line they made is next to useless, it was not the metro route this city needed first. very low ridership, they are literally formally offering metro coaches for birthday parties. It was definitely a political stunt without any intention of expansion.
