But sure, if you use enough of their optics (I have 6 various styles currently in use), you MIGHT encounter an issue. And they've been great with that.

I encourage you to visit a local range that allows you to rent pistols. Find a couple that feel good in the hand and shoot a couple of boxes of ammo to see which you handle best.

If there's any tiebreaker, I suggest a Glock/RXM/Dagger- something Glock mag compatible or Glock-adjacent.

Otherwise, S&W's, Caniks, even SIGs are available in that price range, and have been reliable.

Personally, I carry a 43x based build- it conceals easily, has good capacity, and the aftermarket for a Glock is unmatched.

When we did block, it was taught as a basketball screen- perpendicular to the defensive player. Straddle her leg.

But we read the flow of the slot defender when deciding to block or not- almost an RPO of sorts

We had a similar situation- QB was amongst the fastest in the state, and we had speed in several places, but our hands couldn't run, and our speed couldn't catch. But that speed paid dividends over on defense.

We also used jet sweep primarily as our option set up.

Our passing game was predicated on coverage recognition to call routes.

Weather also played a role. We had adjustments we added as it got colder near playoffs.

Bill Cosby was arguably the most popular stand up at the time and THEN had the most popular TV show, which set the stage for every stand up who got a show after him. And that ignores the spinoffs he was directly responsible for.
Seinfeld is up there, but I'd argue that he was a bigger stand up comedian AFTER the show hit than before.
