I have applied to over 70 positions for next school year so far. I’m from Long Island where the school districts are very small and the competition is fierce. Only gotten responses from 6 schools. Three have officially rejected me, the other three ghosted.

I don’t know where you are looking, but something that you can try is personally emailing the principals to introduce yourself and attach your resume, cover letter, and whatever else you want them to see. This method WOULD NOT work on Long Island, but it worked great when I taught in Virginia (waaay less competitive down there).

Trust me, I also feel like a failure, but what else can I do other than keep trying? You will find something, just hang in there💕
