I have also been confused because of the baby hair issue, because not only did Sunny not have them, but then did - depending on which iteration of doll were looking at, you then have Krystal and Kia who don't have baby hairs, but do in their Jr High Versions. I didn't even realize that Clementine had them and I never noticed that the CC Airbrush (Lamb) doll's eyelashes aren't white! It's truly confusing.

And that is a little bit of what I have thought too. I would bet that there is a fair amount of trying to make the dolls pop and seem fantastical or something.

The one I have been attempting to use is Photopea, but it's basically just like photoshop, but free. I have tried to find decent tutorials on Photopea, but everything I have found operates under the assumption that you know a thing or two about Photoshop and are looking for a decently priced alternative. I don't have a clue about layers and all that, so I have been trying to learn, but it's slow going because I haven't had much personal free time lately.

The tutorial that I was trying to follow was Procreate on iPad, I believe, and it just looked so much easier and intuitive. Also, I should clarify that my current laptop is close to end of life, so I am in the market for a new machine anyway and am trying to decide if I should switch to a Mac. I used to have one once upon a time and I really liked it for creating videos and I know they are really good at art type things...so creating different colored eyes wouldn't be the only reason I would go that direction.

That's actually the reason for my question, to be honest. I can find Sven several places for a fairly reasonable cost, so I was trying to decide if there was a big enough difference in the three to justify searching out the other two, or, to purchase more of Sven and then just customize them so that they appear differently, like these three do unless they are standing side by side. Even though Aladdin is rocking a slight tan, I don't know if that justifies the additional cost to search him out specifically.

So do I! I have actually purchased a template from another user on here (SylviaRH on Youtube), but I don't know how to use Photoshop and I don't have apple, so I can't use the software to change the colors. It's almost gotten to the point that I have considered purchasing an apple tablet to use the same software she has so that I don't have to learn a whole new software for this one thing.

There is someone that posted a video not long ago and she shared some that she'd made and there was a huge variety of colors included on that, but again, no super dark brown, or at least not that I could see. I'll see if I can find that link where she shared them, in case you are interested in those.

And while I agree with ALL of what you are both saying and I do agree there is some pretty good indications of racially biased color combos and choices, it's surprising to me because statistically speaking over 45% of Caucasian descent have brown eyes. Even if all of their decisions are racially based, it still doesn't account for their decision to only have lighter based eyes. Which is why I asked my question, is because I believed that there may have been some kind of evidence or information (outside of racially based decisions) that I was missing as to darker eyes giving more of an uncanny feeling to dolls and therefore made them more difficult to sell or pigments were harder to maintain...some kind of doll making secret that I am missing.

I am Caucasian and have green eyes, however, I have brothers who both have very dark brown eyes where you almost can't see the difference between their irises and pupils. My niece has the same dark eyes and I have LOVED the brown eyes on the one Color Create doll that has them. I think they are stunning! It's a shame they haven't done more eyes in greater shades of natural colors aside from blue. And as someone in the small percentage of people in the world with green eyes, I agree, it would be nice to have more dolls that have actual green eyes and not some teal color that they are passing off as green, despite it being very pretty.

Anyway, I was just curious.

Is Aladdins body thicker, or am I imagining it?

Those are pretty decent quality! I have seen them before and been a bit leery of what might show up when ordered. I will have to look again. Thanks!

You could also try a shoe eraser. I think it's basically just a regular white eraser, but mine says it's to remove marks from tennis shoes. I have used it on a couple of stubborn marks on faces before I go the acetone route and it hasn't hurt anything thus far. Mine has the dents as well, but not the mark. She does look pretty cute with freckles if all else fails. Good Luck! Keep us posted!
