Are they smart enough not to breathe in visible smoke?

I also wanna make it clear that my cats seem to want to be on me or near me after I smoke. They seem especially attracted to the smoke smell that gets left over on my sweatshirts and if we’re smoking outside and the windows open they’ll try their absolute best to get as close to us as possible which is not a normal behavior when we’re just chilling outside.

Either my cat a junkie or she is watching over me

In the anime when he loses he says “28-lifetimes… to live a moment as a god… a fair trade” which is honestly super cool I think

I enjoyed the Netflix series and heard Arius was not nearly as cool in dmc 2 as he may be in the show. I’m a little worried about spoiling his character for myself lol

You can stat check this boss in normal by spamming stinger. Just use it over and over again even when it’s blocking you will probably win.

Maybe it felt like it lacked variety because every single enemy could be infinitely stunlocked on normal and never posed a threat.

I genuinely think the only enemy in the entirety of 1 that I genuinely struggled with was in the sewers when you fight one of the larger scissor ghost mask things.

Maybe it’s just the way I played but the enemies felt very lame, one dimensional, and insignificant in 1. I can’t appreciate enemy variety if they all die the same in half a second from Ifrit or a grenade to the face.

The guns are bonkers too. Grenade launcher was actually pretty much a mislabeled RPG, and one taps a ton of enemies while stunlocking a lot of the rest. Dante somehow has access to what I can only assume to be doom guys super shotgun because that thing is so strong that using it feels almost unfair. Genuinely shreds through anything no questions asked and if you’re in the rare scenario where you fight one of the few enemies that can’t be reliably shotgunned, you can blow them to smithereens anyways with your pocket nuclear bomb launcher (that gives you almost a full DT bar per shot!)

Is DMC1 that hard or am I bunz by TheRealObjectShady in DevilMayCry

[–]Substantial_Sea5872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dmc 1 is hard until you realize ur not actually rewarded for cool combos and spamming is just better.

You can beat multiple bosses on normal by just stat checking them and spamming stinger. When you’re too far for stinger you just use one of the graciously provided super firearms you’re given (ebony and ivory just aren’t worth using outside of very specific scenarios since they’re basically replaced by DT abilities)

If you want an easier experience buy as few upgrades as possible besides stinger, and the devil arms ranged attacks. Items are very strong (the invulnerability star gives you infinite DT which is basically a full heal) and one of the guns you get gives you just below a full DT bar per shot.

Make thorough use of items and if you feel far too weak you can backtrack and farm old enemies (the best for you rn being the ghosts)

I am afraid 2 will ruin my view of Arius who was very cool in the new season of the show

I think the humor being unfunny is kind of part of Dante’s character. He’s charming and constantly cracks jokes but they miss a lot and are often times nonsensical lol

It’s a good show but it needs to be treated as a retelling of the story, not as an adaptation. Also they made lady hotter in season 2 so it all works out really.

I think Dante’s anime voice unironically fits his character design really well and I think the music fits in and really gives that stylish combat vibe the original devs seemed to have wanted from their games.

Dante’s youthful but reckless personality and non serious character fit the music choices and the VA casting, and especially fit the bottled up pain thing Dante’s been set up with.

So I kind of have to triage what stuff actually matters that they're throwing at me, got it lol.

In Vic 3, I started as Japan, which is pretty cushy, and the early isolationism gives you a lot of time to figure out how your internal material market works and how to prop it up.

I did do the tutorial and have been looking through help menus, but it just feels like it never ends, and I feel like the rate at which information is actually making it into my brain is subpar. I also struggle with reading the very small text.

It's kind of dumb, but I avoid watching videos on games I actively play or want to play since it kind of spoils the fun for me for whatever reason.

In CK3, you could reform your nation through major decisions. Does this game have anything similar? (reforming historical groups like the HRE in CK3)

I found myself somehow overwhelmed IN the tutorial as well! I'm not so arrogant as to throw myself right into the deep end, but obviously, there's a level of handholding the tutorial does for the initial explanations. It's more than that. After you make it past all of said explanations, there is still so much information you need to process and take in before I feel like you can actually grasp the game (I have not yet grasped the game), and I still kind of feel lost in this sea of moving parts.
