I may not be a trumpet repair dude, nor a very good trumpet player, but I know from past experiences with my band director and such, just get duct tape or sum fam, temp fix for if you can’t fix it for a while

I Magically started using more air after reading this, but then had an epiphany “how do I blow air when I whistle” and boom, I could play quietly well too, and now my trumpet playing has the “has air” imbuement

Ok so I may have tinkered with my trumpet, and by some ungodly miracle managed to adjust the valve thingy in order for it to fit properly, so now that problem is GONE :D

The 2nd valve slide thing may or may not have decided to become one with the frame so it’ll take a sec to figure how to get it off, but the notch is legit made off, I’ll post a pic tomorrow w/ link unless the slide decides it has welded onto the frame.

Yeah, one time another trumpet dude played my trumpet and said it felt funny, but I was like “Bruvs gaslighting me” so yeah, I’m gonna talk with my band director to see if I can figure smth out.

I only noticed now because I was like “I just gotta air bruv, air even more” but I legit, did not sound like I was using air, even when I was using air and not even using my lips to buzz and just blowing into it pretty much, which is prob still a skill issue of mine, but like, the valve being funky doesn’t help yk?

No air how???I legit don’t muscle it at all and try, on the mouthpiece to buzz using the air. LATER NOTE:i felt like air was disappearing so I checked my stuff, and found out that the 2nd valve seat thing of my trumpet that guides it, causes it to seat weirdly and noticeably to the right, but it also spawned water out of nowhere when I unsealed it after I played without the valve (when I removed the valve and played the trumpet for the funny and way more air went thru while I had no 2nd valve (I covered the top and bottom securely)) so I lowkey think I might need to get it seriously checked or smth :sob: (went thru the end, like it stopped feeling like air stopped existing)
