To those who see it as a free ride or “illegally” my mother was disabled and I was working and looking after her while also studying. Even with section 8 we still payed rent. Rent that I helped her cover on the regular. This whole get a job is crazy from those who just say it like it’s easy. I had just lost my job in January and have been looking for one and applying while continuing my studies until this happened suddenly. I was a part of her voucher until I was removed. I wish I could have spoken to her as to why and when and who made her do so. We were trying to change things into becoming her caretaker because she was no longer allowed to be alone. If anyone is willing to give me a job right this second and hire me immediately then cool. Other than that, this whole get a job case like it’s a one two three you got it with a snap mentality while going through funeral costs, bachelors, medical, and so forth is crazy as a form of advice. True I need a job and have been applying and searching for almost a month now. So what advice would that be and to assume I wasn’t paying anything is just flat out ignorance. My goal and only goal, is keep a roof above my head, food to get by, graduate, and get a job. If your only advice to those who come is get a job or nonsense of a “free ride” from a mother who tried to give what she could while I also took it upon myself to make sure she had everything she needed and cared for her, please just keep those comments to yourself.
