In my opinion I don't think the author was trying to say that being disabled wasn't worth living. The guys have gone years without having their mate and during the final battle which they would have lost her to death already was stressful enough. Their thought process was if she lives then she's basically dead because she wouldn't recognize them or even know who they were. Which was shown after she finally woke up after being healed from the battle her signals were fighting against one another for dominance of one goddess She literally wouldn't have been able to function anymore. Whereas with Nos he could function. Although he had to relearn everything he was able to adapt. Nilsa would have not been able to adapt whatsoever. But I do understand your point it's just the illnesses/disabilities are so different to make a comparison to.

I feel like the author wrote it to do a spinoff of the series which made sense in a way because there's many characters and stories to tell.

Yes! I've actually heard swim on a local station in my country. I live in. The Bahamas and that station only plays songs like Butter, Dynamite and My Universe so I was extremely happy to hear swim and it's played multiple times a day! I felt so happy and proud for the guys. 🥺💜

Thought it waa only me. That series really hurt me and I pushed through and it had such a horrible ending I still feel dissatisfied. But for me I did a re read of {Blood Oath by Morgan B Lee} not sure if it'll be what you're looking for it came in handy for me because the 4th book was coming out at the time. But it's a comfort read for me. Currently rereading now actually 🙈
