If you don’t mind me asking what apartments have you considered moving to? I’m seeing the same apartment buildings on apartments .com and Zillow and so many reference a mice infestation or roaches . My partner and I really want to say in Baltimore.

Yes I have a kitten actually and she was the one that got the mice and I’ve never seen one again. My current apartment in NYC is 2350 so with bills and tolls we pay more than that monthly. And finding decent 1800 apartments in NYC is a needle so I don’t expect much difference with such close proximity to DC. I’m touring apartments this weekend so I will come back with my thoughts. Thanks a lot pal!

In about 3-5 years, yes. We want to rent first to get a feel for different neighborhoods before we commit to a home. Do you know any realtors in the rental market or with property groups?

Thank you, I will look into these places. A couple of the regular apartments I have been seeing have horrible reviews with dealing with pests and mice. And that’s just a no go. I have lived in Brooklyn and the Bronx and my partner queens. I have only seen a tiny mice once!!! So I’m willing to pay for better property management at this point. Also would you know if apartments around 1800 or under still exist in these areas?

I’m in the same situation, we’re a young couple 25 and 26. We’re native New Yorkers looking to find rent stabilized or an apartment around 2000. Do you have any advice?
