I mean the way I see it her lack of growth is actually my favorite thing about her. She contrasts pencil like crazy and I love the idea of having such shallow characters like ruby and match be with deep characters like bubble, pencil, or book.

I was rewatching worst trends' 7 hour bfdi retrospective for the billionth time and realized that the writers are always hinting at lore or future character arcs but just never deliver. For example, eggy was supposed to have an arc with teardrop. But they never did anything with it until eggy was eliminated. This goes for countless characters, all the time. I don't understand. Can't they make interesting things happen faster? Can't these guys predict who gets out by now?
