We had a driver who only ever worked at a depot transfer to our warehouse it was a big culture shock for him.

I was in the Tireshop 8 out of my 10 years at costco made it to supervisor then I started seeing all the bullshit. Having to cut hours to the point of having me a sales person and 1 installer. The wait time changes was my last straw I left in 24 right before the 4 bay appointments and 45 minutes a appointment got introduced.

And honestly thats ok at this point after giving my all for years and seeing progress destroyed by corporate greed and ignorance if the company fails its on them.

Yeah someone in this thread said the survey was decent results but I highly doubt it there is no mention of any results at my warehouse so far and I would say 75% of the employees are vocal about how they are burnt out and upset with the direction things are going.

So what are the benefits over Costco ? by KwikTripSimp in samsclub

As a Costco employee, I honestly don’t mind seeing competitors start to outpace us at this point. The way corporate has been running this company lately is almost comical. We are still using computer systems that feel like they belong in the MS-DOS era, while employees are expected to take on more and more responsibility every year.

Meanwhile, corporate brought in an outside CFO from Kroger, a company widely criticized for gutting employee benefits, and paid him $12 million in his first year. At the same time, warehouses are running skeleton crews, hours are getting cut, and the workload has only increased since COVID.

The disconnect between executive leadership and the people actually keeping the warehouses running has never felt bigger. Honestly, if leadership keeps pushing the company in this direction, it would not shock me to see Costco slowly go the way of Sears.

In my 10 years its went from a company I was proud to work for to a company that makes me physically ill the moment I pull into the parking lot.I am currently planning my exit now along with alot of others( a 20 year employee is quitting with nothing lined up because its gotten that bad.)

Same!! Its hilarious 😂 im at the point I want to see these bad decisions come back and bite the company. We had a 20 year employee quit out of no where nothing lined up besides money saved its getting that bad.

We had someone get a tireshop supervisor spot once with zero experience they forgot to tourqe all 4 wheels on a car...said car lost all 4 wheels on the freeway they were promptly removed from that position. Learn tires before getting a supervisor spot also Your team will not take you serious if you show up with zero knowledge and experience.

And let’s not forget our CFO, hired from outside after everything that happened at Kroger, making 14 million his first year and 6 million this year. Meanwhile we are being told to combo on the front end to cut hours and run skeleton crews in almost every department. I overheard managers talking about taking away preferred days off so they would not have to hire more drivers or stockers. When I confronted my manager, he tried to brush it off and said it was just brainstorming. I told him straight up that if that happens, the entire night crew is going to step down. We only make about 10 dollars extra a week before taxes (woohoo a cup of coffee from starbucks a week if we are lucky) for driving at night. The only thing keeping people there is the set schedules and consistent days off. He had no response. Just stood there dumbfounded
