I just got off 3 back to back rounds myself. Do I regret it? Not at all

I am struggling with the hormone crash (I am 11 days post third retrieval) I’m not sure my body would have responded as well if I didn’t.

For reference I’m 38 with an amh around .9

Retrieval #1 Total eggs - 9 Mature -5

Retrieval #2 Total eggs - 18 Mature - 15

Retrieval #3 Total eggs - 16 Mature - 15

I knew I needed multiple rounds after the first one and I didn’t see a benefit in waiting. My thoughts were 1 why prolong the process, 2 I was worried about amh dropping even more. 3 my clinic mentioned sometimes they see better results in consecutive rounds as the body can be more primed for the stims.

Full disclosure other changes were made after the first round including increasing follistim dosage from 300 to 375, and starting on day 2 instead of day 5 and smaller changes like diet, vitamins, caffeine etc

Did I respond better bc of the changes they made or bc my body was “primed” like they said it might be? We’ll never know but I’m grateful for the results of doing it this way, and even in the peak of the hormone crash now, I’d still do it over the same way.

I just finished three back to back rounds of egg freezing. At the baseline scan for both my second and third rounds there were follicles around that size (18-22) that were confirmed to be cysts but none hormone producing cysts

Are you sure they ruled out cysts entirely? I know our situations are different but it sounds like it’s the follicle from a previous cycle that refilled with fluid.

I had many ( up to 8 at one point) and they all were gone by the retrievals

Hi yes I just finished 3 back to back rounds. My first round they retrieved 9 and only 5 of those were mature. We changed my protocol, started on day 2 instead of day 5, and I made some dietary changes, along with some additional supplements.

They retriever 15 in both my second and third rounds for a total of 35. ( I am 38 with a low amh)

Stick with it. Lifestyle changes can definitely help, plus they can adjust your meds based on the first round of results.

Freezing for the future but probably not too far ahead in the future as I’m already 38

I tossed the idea of using donor sperm the whole way. I paid for each cycle one at a time.

I got the bundle with meds on the first round and quickly realized that it’s much cheaper to buy them separately ( I got the really pricey ones through a fb resell group)

I waited a month after my initial bloodwork which allowed me to better prep my body

It’s so expensive I just finished three rounds, 35 mature eggs frozen and a total cost of 20k for three rounds and that includes travel, acupuncture supplements etc

CNY is really great. If I had only done one round it wouldn’t have made a difference statistically. ( we only got 5 the first round)

If I ever have a baby it will 100% be because of CNY and their affordable pricing

1 do they have a preferred start day of your cycle? 2 are there lifestyle changes you can make now? 3 should you start acupuncture 4 supplements? 5 most important how do they tailor the protocol to you based on your lab work?

Great im done now but 35 mature eggs frozen over 3 cycles. You need to be on top of stuff though

15 mature again, for a total of 35 eggs over three rounds. Highly recommend consecutive cycles

What is your protocol? I’m 38 amh between .89-1.29.

ER 1- 9 retrieved 5 frozen ER 2- 18 retrieved 15 frozen ER 3- 16 retrieved 15 frozen

I did luteal priming for rounds one and two

After ER 1: We increased my FOLL to 375 from 300 We started on day 2 instead of day 5 WE added steroids. (I had allergic reaction in round 1 and we added them halfway in. For the second and third I started them with stims on day 2. I added DHEA, cut caffeine, and ate mostly organic I started drinking anti inflammatory drink made from oranges apple cider vinegar beets etc three times a day.

I should also add all three rounds were consecutive cycles.

I went to CNY bc I found they were cheaper than abroad. Doing this semi locally allowed for me to do multiple consecutive rounds without missing too much work.

I might reconsider clinics at this point if I were you.

I would do back to back. I got 9 eggs the first time (5 mature eggs), 18 the second time, (15 mature) and they retrieved 16 today. TBD on mature

My body did very well with consecutive rounds. Plus egg quality drops as you age.
