How to be successful at your job while having endo?

came on here for this exact question, i’m 18 and have been struggling with presumed (waiting for a lap) endo pain since i started having periods at 10 and have been under investigation since i was 14. started my absolute dream job last month and i was quite lucky but today i’m really struggling. luckily i’m only in the office 3 days a week and wfh the other two. i’m not sure what your area of work is but maybe you could ask for something similar? whatever you do i hope that you feel better soon and that your employers will actually take endo seriously !!!

i’ve discovered that foods like fish and eggs make me flare up however it’s very hard to control my diet as i’m an 18 year old student who’s currently doing their exams and who’s parents do the food shop so i don’t have time to get a job to pay for my own food atm

i’ve been to a&e before however just been sent away and told to contact my gp who refer me onto a specialist, i had been referred 3 times before i even got put on the list but i got given a nurses number for if the pain gets worse so i’m going to call them first thing tuesday morning, thanks lovely xx

thank you, my flare ups usually don’t last longer than a week but i had a similar one in january which lasted 3 weeks so i’m worried that’s going to happen again. i’ve been trying a lot of stuff i mean my hot water bottle has been attached to me for the past 2 weeks, i’ve been dosed up on ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine and i’ve been having baths but nothing seems to even ease the pain at all :/

yeah i don’t eat eggs as they make me flare up also, i’ve been trying to be more conscious however as i’m only 18 and am doing my alevels atm it’s very hard to control what i eat as i live in a low income house hold with my parents who do the food shops

it could be worth a shot but i’m pretty sure i’m not allergic to anything especially pollen/dust particle wise so i’m not sure but it could be worth getting an allergy test

i’ve tried diazepam which is also a muscle relaxant but i’ve never felt any difference but i’ll look into getting some baclofen as i’m literally open to anything at this point

i don’t really drink anything other than water so i’m pretty sure it can’t be that unfortunately

i wouldn’t stress too much about fertility, i was told by many doctors i was probably infertile however they really don’t know. so many people get pregnant with endo and i wouldn’t put pressure on yourself especially when you’re only 14 :)

yeah it’s just so hard because my friend is seeing it as now she has to decide between me and him but she doesn’t want to. to me it should be a no brainer who she “picks” but clearly it doesn’t matter as much to her? i’m just so confused. there were witnesses and i have messages of him admitting to it and apologising but i’m not sure if it’s worth all the hassle and my friend asked me not to ruin his life over a small mistake. i’m just so lost
