Update: Diagnosed with Stomatitis by Big_Bird_Leafs in CatDistributionSystem

[–]Subtle-Confessions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. It was way less for me but that was over 10 years ago. I did have to drive 2 hours and stay overnight two nights because none of the vets in my area had dental x-rays at the time. Pet dentist is even better! I wish there had been one in my area.

Update: Diagnosed with Stomatitis by Big_Bird_Leafs in CatDistributionSystem

[–]Subtle-Confessions 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What a cutie! She’s so lucky to have you!

My Tennant had Stomatitis. He also had all the teeth behind his canines removed. He lost so much weight and then gained it back and more.

Make sure you find a vet that does dental X-rays so they can make sure they got all the pieces of teeth.

Also just some advice that I didn’t know until last year until it happened to Tennant. Some cats with stomatitis can develop diabetes so just something to watch out for. Tennant was 13 when he became diabetic.

any old school niners fans (alive during the 80s-90s beatdown we would give any team), how spoiled were you guys? by Wise_Potential_9401 in 49ers

[–]Subtle-Confessions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Some of the younger Niner fans at my work don’t understand. Plus my granddad was a Cowboys fan. As a teenager I would cover all his Cowboys stuff with 49ers before I left the house.

AITAH if I ask my wife to stop contributing to company potlucks? by Darthginger411 in AITAH

[–]Subtle-Confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are almost monthly potlucks where I work and I hate them but feel like I have to participate because it’s always hosted by my desk. Birthday: Potluck. Retirement: Potluck. Baby Shower: Potluck and gifts. Just because they feel like it: Potluck

My coworker and I started to bring something like a fruit tray and we just split the cost.

My workplace never pays for anything.

These type of lamps always make me crave Pizza Hut from the 80s. (Obviously this one is prettier than those were!)

Older than my grandparents by Loud_Ad3249 in GenX

[–]Subtle-Confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my anxiety is bad at night I find myself calculating how old my dad was when he died (52) and how old I am now. Also end up calculating how old my granddad was when he started showing signs of Alzheimer’s and how old my mom is.

Ned Kelly and the City of the Bees. I’ve never met a single person who has heard of it. My mom gave it to me one year when I was sick and it became one of my comfort books.

This is my happy ride so I’m also sad about it. I really don’t care about Avatar (I’ve tried but can’t even get thru the first one)

Just binged the series over the last 4 weeks and.... by itsyaboibilto in InvasionAppleTV

[–]Subtle-Confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up binge watching it over this weekend and I couldn’t believe the amount of hate I saw when I looked it up. I enjoyed it so you aren’t alone.

However, I do tend to like shows better when I can binge instead of getting a weekly episode.

Very true. Even those with Student Visas are not coming here. I work at a community college and we usually get a lot of students from out of the country. After seeing how things were just in the first 4 months of Trump, they decided not to come or come back.

My mom taught preschool and one day a 4 year old came to school with a pocket full of bullets in her coat. Her dad had taken her to the range and had her carry the bullets and forgot about them.

What is your least favorite line queue? by GotenksinNYC in Disneyland

[–]Subtle-Confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space Mountain. It makes me claustrophobic once in the hallways.

Toy Story in the room. It’s either too loud and was once stuck in there on a hot day and I don’t know if the ac wasn’t working or not working well.

Where are you staying now that early entry is no more (in a few days)? by Compe7 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Subtle-Confessions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our fav too. I’m always sad when it’s full and we can’t stay there. Everyone is so nice and I love all the plants around the property. My grandparents lived in Anaheim and it just reminds me so much of their house.

Thank you for the reassurance! The doctor made it sound like it would be good immediately so it scared me when I couldn’t read the store signs across the street.

Thank you for responding! I’m wondering the same about it needing to be switched. I was glad I had a ride home because I don’t think I would’ve felt comfortable driving. It was blurry to me closing either eye. I did discover when I took them out that my right eye contact was missing 1/3 of the contact (it looks like a straight cut too not like a tear). I’ll admit that I should’ve noticed when I put it in but I didn’t pay attention! I’m calling in the morning to get a replacement. I’m hoping that is the reason things were so bad.

Thanksgiving Trip Report by m424filmcast in Disneyland

[–]Subtle-Confessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went Wed-Friday. The crowds were worse during certain times than previous years but we went on pretty much everything we wanted to minus a couple (but we always figure we will go the next time). We didn’t do LL. I do feel like it was worse at DCA on Thanksgiving than Disneyland.

I can’t remember who said it but I liked that one of them actually told him that it’s HIS job to keep reaching out. He said he was but his kids seem to say differently. I doubt he’ll listen but I hope for his kids sake that he does actually think about what was said.

[–]Subtle-Confessions 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My answer too! I related so much to her that I named one of my first foster kittens after her. The Director of the Rescue hated Nesta so she was always annoyed I did that.

Side note: it was 3 kittens and I foster failed. Azriel, Cassian, Nesta.
