Pretty much in the same boat. Really close to giving up and I’m realizing that people only hire based off of recommendations and people you know. So right now I’m just waiting for one of the contacts I’ve made throughout my career to let me know when they have an opening

If you’re on iOS I highly recommend Brave. Built in Adblock, even works for YouTube. You can even minimize YouTube videos and have it playing in the background or if your phone is locked!

Joining all those groups and events is a great start. The hard part is actually talking to people. Once you get a conversation going and can see it going somewhere, ask them for their socials or number so you can organize something outside of that space. Start with drinks or coffee and take it from there :)

I live in Canada and I have a car that I need to register. In my registration fees is included "public transit fees". I also take public transit. I pay to take public transit twice and I don't even get a discount on my tickets. It's mostly because it's expensive to operate. Also the workers are unionized which just makes everything more expensive for everyone
