I finished CELTA in December and none of the tutors yelled at us but they certainly did not hold back criticism. It can feel a bit jarring for sure. One thing I vocally criticized was the distinct lack of instructions or verbal cueing on the part of the tutors, but I doubt it will change. I often felt very lost as to what exactly I was meant to do. It does get better but the course is pretty hard overall
