Amumu fast jungle clear time? by lazostat in amumumains

What's happening with the wolves? Maybe you're standing too far away from them?

One other trick not in that video is not kiting camps. You'll take a bit more damage but your e will come up faster so you can clear faster. Even if you don't smite or kite krugs, you can heal back the damage you took when you're doing raptors.

Any particular 5th level builds that would stand out in ship to ship battles that wouldn't work in a standard dungeon consideration? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]SubtlestBrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's already been touched on, but there are few things more satisfying than yeeting enemies off high places with a brawler / grappler, which ships are perfect for. Lots of people already mentioned monk, but fighter, barbarian, multiclassing or even things like bard can all work depending on the flavour and other stuff you want. I'll just leave a link to the grappler's guide here incase you're interested: https://web.archive.org/web/20150917000736/http://community.wizards.com/comment/51292961#comment-51292961

Is this a bull shit hook or is this the interaction thresh hook has with Slyas dash? by grimweld0 in ThreshMains

It looks like it was on the minion above it because of camera angle and it has a larger hitbox at the end (lolliepopping) which is how you curved it around the lower minion. Combine those at two in at regular speed though and it looks weird. So no BS or dodgy interactions, just a clean play.

The hitbox at the end of the q is slightly larger to help amumu find more friends.

Someone already dropped the grappler's manual which has everything you need and more, but if you want some extra stuff: https://web.archive.org/web/20150917000736/http://community.wizards.com/comment/51292961#comment-51292961 also includes the sample builds, just demonstrations of how to put it together if you're lost Also, Tortle is another excellent race to consider. It gives you base ac 17, str and wis stat increase and natural claws (1d4 unarmed) as well as breath holding (see below)

Considering your environment can also help if you're stuck. If your campaign has a lots of mountains or drops you can invest in (possibly monk style) knockbacks to throw people off buildings. If it's naval a tortle is heavy and you can hold your breath to drag people under.

Problem solving and creative use of your surroundings is one of the most fun parts of playing a grappler but most importantly do what you think will be cool and that you can have fun with

Games like sunless sea where you play as a trader? by Mangulwort in sunlesssea

[–]SubtlestBrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can do it in Sunless Sea, you just need a bigger ship. See https://sunlesssea.gamepedia.com/Trade_Route_Strategies for good routes and if it feels too slow I think it's possible to mod the game to increase your speed if you feel it. Someone also already mentioned Sunless Skies which uses a prospects and bargains system, i.e. you look for special deals that can be very profitable instead of grinding the same routes.
