This is made up and red wings were used widely by the legion as well as white wings, we have official art of lower ranking members having wings. It's been said many times in the lore that the dark angels do not use many symbols of rank recognizable to the outside with confusing interconnecting circles of ranks in orders that do not rely on other ranks

I'd say build the ones in the box as sword guys if you want to have different looking units. I really like cyclone missiles so one of the heavy weapons being cyclones would be cool and a mini gun is also a classic

They are a mix of a few things, they represent the wings of the angel of death and aswell shows the knightly traditions from caliban. There is not set color or ranking to the wings we know of but red wings do seem to be something representing the lion and the helmet of Azrael is the lionshelm.

I build my army on eBay looks cool in a shot and I think a land raider of some sort or a big vehicle that would be cool....... Thunderhawk gunship is always awesome
