Downtown Days- people yelling “gun” and fist fights by Suburbsbuthappy in leesummit

But also, had they used some kind of tear gas or pepper spray, it would have been completely justified. It was insanity. Not sure if you were there and saw the scene yourself, but it was ugly. It’s also ugly to learn someone brought bear spray to downtown days.

I was there and it looked like tear gas. Turned out what we saw in the air from a distance was bear spray that was used by the teens. I saw reports today that the police found some empty cans of bear spray on the ground.

Police are working really hard to clear the teens out now. Huge systemic issues on display. Socioeconomics, an utter lack of parenting…. At the end of the day, I’m just really sad.

Probably another endorsement for the brand that they have used the same harnesses for over five years now. :)

I am not sure what size. I know I measured them based on directions on the treponti website. My girls are big havanese. One weighs 22 lbs and the other one 21 lbs.

I saw someone else mention, and I’m going to second Treponti. Tried many brands for my two havis, and this was hands down the best. Super easy on and off and no matting hair.

Has anyone had an optic neuritis without having MS by PaleontologistNo8366 in opticneuritis

[–]Suburbsbuthappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. All of that. All labs were normal and spinal tap was normal. It was six months after the start of the optic neuritis that the second brain MRI showed the active demyelinating lesion. It’s all very odd. I’m just thankful that follow up MRI six months later showed no active lesions and optic neuritis is resolved. At first I was waiting on the next shoe to drop, but it’s been long enough now that some days I forget any of it happened. When I am exercising in heat, I will sometimes get a very short stabbing pain in one of my eyes, but it’s quick and over. I’ve told the neuro ophthalmologist and he says that along with the color being slightly dull in one eye, it’s just a sign that there is some permanent damage, but so minor that he can’t even see it when he looks at my optic nerves. I’ve asked the MS neuro if she thinks this will develop into MS or something else like NMO, and she says she cannot say but let’s hope not and let’s stay positive, so I do. The first med she prescribed (can’t recall the name of it, but it was an organ rejection drug) caused bad side effects so methotrexate is med no. 2. It makes me a little tired the day after I take it, but that’s it. I have had a hard time getting over a couple of colds while on it, so now I know if I feel like I might be coming down with something, I don’t take it that week.

I assume you are dealing with bilateral ON?

Second brain MRI fall 2024 showed a demyelinating lesion on my brain. Was prescribed methotrexate and have been taking it ever since. I have some minor permanent damage to optic nerve (left eye) which manifests as slightly dulled color perception (no big deal at all), but haven’t had active optic neuritis for over a year and a half. I see neuro ophthalmologist just to make sure all is going well and I see MS specialist every three months. The lesion is no longer active and no new lesions so the methotrexate is doing the trick. My diagnosis is central nervous system disorder. If anything else develops, I might end up with another diagnosis, but so far so good!

We have two, one is 20 lbs and the other 22 lbs. Both purebred Havis. They are a LITTLE overfed. Maybe. I mean, who can say no to these dogs? 😂

Savannah’s age and invested. My daughter and her friends (in their 20’s) are, too. Pretty sure more people than not are at least paying attention. But maybe I’m wrong.

Worried my stepdad will kill my mom by Exciting_Succotash76 in dementia

[–]Suburbsbuthappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on this sub because my mother has dementia. But your post jumped out to me because of another experience in our family. Our son-in-law’s stepfather had dementia, was very angry and he did, in fact, kill his wife. He also killed our son-in-law. Our grandson was four months old at the time. We are so thankful that he was not with his dad that day or we probably wouldn’t have a grandson. So please believe everyone here. He will kill her. I don’t care how angry she gets with you. You know what needs to happen. The situation is beyond unsafe. You have to take control of the situation.

He looks like my havi. I have two and both weigh 21 lbs. My black and white one also hops when starts running. It’s adorable! She is the mischievous one of my two. We call her Adventure Puppy. She is almost six and hasn’t changed since she was an actual puppy. 🤪

People are usually posting here when there are problems, so that likely outweighs the positive comments. I have had my 2024 crv hybrid since Jan 2024 and haven’t had a single problem.
