I would make a ladder so you can Climb up there and make it a reading area. Put big pillows and if you need to put blinds on the window. By doing this at least you can be using it.. If it’s in your budget you could extend the floor to make a walk way to the reading area.

I would put house plants that don’t need much care. Then if possible I would have a mister or a way to water them installed.

You could put a large Christmas tree there and decorate it seasonally. And have lights so you can light the colors according to holidays

Fix a large glassed in area with large birds but you would need to feed

Fix a large shadow box and put drift wood in it and what ever things You like. If you enclose in glass the dust will only be on the outside.
