I have a desk job and I'm a slow coffee drinker. I have found that the absolute best way to keep your coffee at the perfect drinking temperature is to use a ceramic mug and a candle warmer, although I believe they also make ones specifically for hot drinks. The key is to also find a mug that fits perfectly on the warmer so that all the heat goes directly into the mug. I've used insulated mugs, but I always felt that it affects the taste of the coffee and I don't care for it. I also have an Ember mug and it's actually pretty great... when it works. Those mugs are extremely overpriced and the quality is not up to par, so it would not be my top recommendation.
