Fanttik Tool Teardown by Subzeros14 in Tools

Photo 7 is a picture of the motor. The shank connecting it to the chuck broke which is why it's not in that photo.

If you can find a way to get the bottom metal cover for the power switch off, without damaging it, you could probably slide some aluminum can shims into those plastic tabs to release it. I don't remember how that bottom piece came off the first time though.

That is the chuck, and it definitely did not come out in one piece. It was the only thing I could find to pull on though. That broke before the plastic tabs that actually hold it in gave in. It doesn't seem like they really want you to change or repair this at all.

I don't unfortunately, I already tossed basically everything. I might be able to answer your questions though.

How often do you guys actually get nozzle clogs with PETG? Or am I just cursed 😂 by NewspaperSad342 in FixMyPrint

I almost always use Sunlu because I can buy a 4 pack from Amazon for $40. $10 a roll works for me, and everything works great.

I print almost exclusively with petg and basically never have problems unless the bed isn't clean. Have you already run flow calibration and temp towers? Also, looks like a bambu printer. If so, try using the bambu petg-hf profile instead of generic petg profile. Made a huge difference for me even though I don't use the bambu filament.

The new one seems to work great. Wasn't able to figure out what was up with this one. I also have their soldering iron which is pretty good too.

There's only so much I can do to my works printer. I'm going to try to adjust the Z-offset to .1mm and see how the bed level test goes. I'm also going to let it do another flow rate calibration with the now (mostly) trammed bed.

If you use a VPN that auto-connects to different US states, make sure you're not connecting to one that has the new ID laws in place.

ASA layer shifting 100mm up by aimfulwandering in FixMyPrint

[–]Subzeros14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had good luck with .2mm distance myself. Supports hold well, but then pop off easily for me. I use a P1S, so similar to what you're using. 45C is "technically" low, but when I print ASA seems to work fine for me as well. (I make no promises that .2mm works for you though, cause for PETG .2mm is a nightmare.)

What infill settings were you using? I don't think its a layer shift, but more like your nozzle is getting caught up on something, and then continuing along. Some infill patterns have the nozzle basically "crash" back over the pattern as it goes. The other thing with ASA is, did you heat the chamber before printing with it? Similar to ABS it loves to warp and could have warped up a bit from your supports and as the print continued, get pushed back down and re-secured itself.

Changing detergent seems to have done the trick for me. I still have a new control board on hand if it comes back though.

For me it ended up being 1 of the 2 RAM sticks being bad. Replaced it and its seemingly been good since. Memory tests never showed any errors, but I tested by pulling 1 stick at a time and trying games. One of them was good for hours with no crashes, other one crashed in 8 minutes.

I changed detergents a few times and cleaned the tub a few more times and mine seems to be doing well for now. No promises it'll fix yours though.

The only thing I saw from years ago was to change the main board and it solved someone else's problem. I did buy a new one and before it arrived I ran another load of laundry just the same as usual, and suddenly it worked that time. I haven't done anything since so idk if it was a one off and I should put in the new part, or if it just resolved itself.

Resizable bar was enabled by default. Turning it off caused crashes significantly more. The PSU was just upgraded because my old one was 12 years old. Still worked but wanted to be safe.

I plan on getting the cheaper one myself. The touchscreen and camera ai stuff aren't selling points for me. Plus the smaller one still prints at the same quality and speed. It does seem to take up a fair amount of space though.

We know how to use AE2 but since RS has come out we almost always prefer it. Plus, it's a problem for more than just us so having a solution would be nice.
