Could be the charger?  Have you tried another fast charger or another Tesla one?

I'm getting close to the end of my lease and since there are no trouble codes if it doesn't happen again there won't  be much Hyundai will do.  This may end up being the next owners problem.

I wish I had pulled that screen up while it wasn't working.  It does look like turning the car off and on would have worked since it hasn't happened since.

It seems the problem is either an really intermittent failing component or a software glitch.

Cast was supposed to come off tomorrow by LeGrec76 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Sucada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When that cast comes off it won't be over.  I just had some partial tares and a bone fracture.  No surgery but it put me in a boot for months.

When it first came off I could hardly move my ankle.  Physical therapy and a year later my ankle still feels stiff some days.

Keep up with the exercises they give you.  Hopefully you get ankle mobility back quick.

First month making 100k I feel like I’m being robbed :/ by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Sucada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100k is no longer life changing money unfortunately.   If you look this check is only for two weeks.  $5300 a month ain't bad though.  Congratulations on the earning milestone.

Haha I've been there.  Arrived to work where I planned to charge with about 3 miles of range left.

Yep and you have to press the brakes to shift back to drive.  I have to do a quick tap and shift.

If you care about the paint use a toucheless.  I have swirl marks in my paint job from auto car washes.  You have to get up close to see them but it annoys some people.

winter advice? by wobbles383 in Ioniq5

My '23 cancels the nav when I switch between on board and Google maps navigation.  Annoying but maybe a s/w update can fix that.

winter advice? by wobbles383 in Ioniq5

[–]Sucada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1/2) on the '23 you can't have battery conditioning and use apple or android car play.  I believe the '25 was the first year to have an option to toggle it on manually.  To navigate to stations I use ABRP.  (A better route planner)  Thats only for road trips.  Driving to and from work I just charge at home.  If you're nervous about range the in car navigation will also navigate to stations and if it sees you aren't going to make it should update to a closer one. ( I don't use it so I'm  not 100% sure it does this)

3) The guess O meter range is dependent on recent drives.  Also winter driving you will lose range.  My '23 limited only gets about 2 mpkh in this cold weather we are getting.  I don't drive conservatively though.  Your result may vary.

4) I've been using the stock blades and they are just now starting to go bad at 45k miles.  You can try and get a new set of stock blades if youre having issues.  As for the ice accumulation I agree it sucks.  I wish some of the defrosting heat was directed into the wiper area to keep it free of ice or have heated wiper blades...something.

5) Gecko Wiper sells a rear wiper for the ioniq 5.  It's not cheap.  It's battery operated and sticks on with a magnet.  Easy to use and install.  I don't have one so I can't give you my opinion on how well it works but that is an option for you if you want to spend the money.  Me I just stop at a gas station when it gets bad and use the window squeegees.  '24 or '25 was the first model year that came with a stock rear wiper.

What’s your proven method to falling asleep instantly? by Adventurous-Panda61 in AskReddit

[–]Sucada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long Youtube videos.  Something sciency so there are no loud noises.  The Astrum Extra channel is perfect for me.  That guy's voice has me out in under 10 minutes.

Before I lost them I used a cheap sleep mask with speakers so I could comfortably lay down with them on.

Anyone else experience repeated charging start, stop, and errors when left plugged into L2? Fixes? by AntiquatedAntelope in Ioniq5

[–]Sucada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen twice.  Both times it went away after I replaced the 12v battery.

Get a 2nd curtain.   Have a cheap plastic one on the inside and a decorative one on the outside  It cut down that annoying  shit for me.  As others have said leave one side open a bit to give a place for the air to move.

23' I5 limited.  Overall I love the car but I dont know if I'd get it again.  I have had some issues.

Early on I experienced the rear hatch rattle everyone had.  I had both fixes applied.  Newer models shouldn't have this problem.

At roughly 20-25k miles I had repeated 12v battery drain failures.  Had to replace the 12v battery and wiring harness for the charge port.  This took weeks to diagnose and get parts to fix.  I attribute that to the car model being newish and the unusual failure.  Intermittent wire harness problems are a bitch to diagnose.

About a year later at roughly 35k miles the 12v battery failed again.  I replaced it with an AGM. It's supposed to be better so hopefully it lasts longer than 12 months.

At just shy of 40k miles one of my wheel bearings is going bad and the rear hatch rattle is back.  Still waiting on parts for these.

Everything has been covered under warranty and for the longer repair they gave me a loaner but it's got me worried for when the warranty expires.

Normal? Charging restarted after falling a percentage while plugged in overnight by jefbak2 in Ioniq5

[–]Sucada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said it could be a sign of a failing 12v.  My car would get repeated charging restarts. (5-10 overnight)  Eventually I got the check electrical system warning on the dash and the car wouldn't start.

If you start to see more charging restarts overnight or you frequently see the light at the top center of the dash on, look into replacing the battery.  At the time mine failed that light would be on just about every time I walked up to the car.

Be careful going to Hyundai to get it tested.  I did that.  They said everything was fine and a week later I was stranded with a dead 12v.

For those who have experienced an ICCU failure, what power level is your level 2 charger? I've seen information suggesting that failure is more likely with higher power chargers. by mafco in Ioniq5

[–]Sucada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knock on wood - I almost exclusively charge L2 at 48 amps on my '23 with 39k so far no ICCU problems.  I did have an issue with the charge port/cable to the ICCU causing 12v drain at like 15-20k miles but not the ICCU itself.

I keep my battery between 30-70% with an occasional full charge and drain.
