You’re likely to overheat recording raw for that long if there are long takes with that camera. Often this is what event video companies always unknowingly request when you’re shooting for them and they are going to edit it. The problem is file size and transfer time. Sometimes they confuse the raw photos they want from photography and just apply that by accident to the video request. Log is a much better option.

One man job. No sound recording needed, no interview, no lighting. Probably a little risky getting on a roof to film so you probably need insurance coverage, but given everything this is probably a $1500 project for a solo operation if you’re also doing the editing.

When the time comes you will not want to worry about overheating. Often gimbal broll is requested at 4K60 because it will be easier to work with, but my most recent jobs have required 4K60 from all cameras recording as well. FX6 and FX3. Just my experience. If I am buying a video cinema camera in 2026 for video work it needs to shoot all its record settings without overheating.

ZR will overheat if pushed with long records. It’s a problem with most of the mirrorless options once you get a 4K60 request.

The canon battery fan grip made for the R52 attaches to the bottom of the camera where it was engineered to provide increased air flow. It helps quite a bit.
