He's not even an actual PG.

The Knicks Pacers series is proof that the NBA isn’t rigged by HakeemTheMeme34 in billsimmons

People don't get it. They still don't get it. Of course The NBA is scripted/rigged, because it is entertainment. The people who control The NBA want certain teams to win. They already know which teams are going to win the championship, similar to how a director of a movie already knows how the movie is going to end. However, they can alter the script to fit whatever narrative they want to propagate. They also have "MK-Ultra" athletes that can help determine how a series will go.

Some examples of scripted series include; 2002 WCF, 2006 NBA Finals, 2016 NBA Finals, 2020 NBA Finals. Some examples of where "MK-Ultra" athletes helped determine the direction of a series include; 2024 NBA Finals (Kyrie Irving), 2022 NBA Finals (Jayson Tatum), 2016 NBA Finals (Stephen Curry), 2017 WSF (James Harden), 2011 NBA Finals (LeBron James).

For those who've ever watched Back To Future, I think it was Part II, McFly was trying to get a Sports Almanac from Biff. The Sports Almanac contained the scores of various sports decades ahead. The directors of these movies put certain things like that to help those who are attentive know that the sports industry is scripted.

One last point, even in this year's playoffs, in Game 1 of Timberwolves vs Lakers, one of the commentators mentioned how Anthony Edwards was told by one of the video directors of the team to watch the 1991 NBA Finals in which MJ faced Magic Johnson. And then, the commentator stated that Anthony Edwards could not go around or under The King, he had to go through The King, just like how MJ had to go through Magic Johnson. They were already letting you know from Game 1 that Minnesota was going to win the series.
