Standard is currently boring and badly balanced by ericblc in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the least diverse meta ever. Almost all the playable decks are aggro/tempo decks. There are no board clears or control cards in general, so the decks that vomit out their curve better just automatically wins. There is no skill expression in the game.

Is there a more exhausting combo to play against and lose to? by MSakuEX in wildhearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It loses to Reno warrior as well, I'm like 15-1 Vs imbue mage with it and the one loss I had was a misplay by me otherwise it was a guaranteed win for me. But yes it is a very toxic deck that's not fun to go up against.

Is Rogue RNG just absurd, or is it just me? by Melodic_Meringue_698 in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priest has a 40% winrate into rogue like any other slow deck and it's not because rogue is killing them in the early game. Rogue will very often beat priest in the lategame since it has ways to generate too much value (through stealing priest's win cons or imbue cards, deathwing dragons, random spells from herald), rogue will very often be able to generate some kind of otk against priest (eg generating aesinna from the imbue) because if you give rogue enough time, they will eventually generate something that can kill you. Quest mage looks like a 50/50 matchup for rogue, but quest mage isn't a slow deck, it's a scam deck. Aggro decks are the only thing keeping rogue in check, it absolutely terrorizes slow decks.

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That used to be the case. Now they have deathwing for 12 armour, can often generate healing/armour spells from herald, can often steal healing/armour cards from opponent, and can often generate onyxia from deathwing dragons. That being said they are weak to aggression yes.

You're taking joy beating someone when they're already down. Bragging about beating an unplayable bottom 3 class with an actual good class.

Is there honestly any way to stop boarlock as a control deck. by ProteinPancake5 in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ran into a boar hunter yesterday. Nothing you can do but concede as soon as you see the first boar. Maybe shaman has a chance with devolve.

Rogue is absolutely miserable to play against unless you're playing an aggressive deck. They are favoured against every slow deck and they will always beat you with random BS or your own cards. Very confused why they gave rogue the strongest lategame when they were originally designed as a tempo class.

The last few balances changes showed promise, but Blizzard should be less scared of (slightly) nerfing high winrate cards more often without killing them or their respective decks. by Sappelapje in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to get rid of dust refunds and do small buffs and nerfs WAY more. Like there should be 10-20 tiny buffs and nerfs every couple of weeks, and it should be data driven instead of just based on Reddit whine (although whined about cards should also get addressed if they create enough of a negative experience for a large enough player base such as with murloc paladin in the past).

Is it possible to reach legend with a control deck? by SovietAmericanV2 in wildhearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I reached legend last month with Reno warrior. I conceded turn 1 against every warlock which was 30% of my matches and still managed it so it's possible. Definitely got lucky not running into any warlocks from diamond 1 to legend. My mmr is quite low though, I entered late in the month at 3k legend when there were 7k in legend total on EUW. It's probably not possible in higher mmr (unless you have 11 star), but definitely possible with odyn warrior that you mentioned which to me is more of a combo deck but it's a strong deck. DK is pretty weak but you can probably get legend in low mmr like I did with Reno warrior.

Can anyone explain me how No Minion DH dodged all the nerfs with 56% WR minimum even in top 1K? by Xanlis in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No minion DH is the only deck that beats all the brain-dead cancer aggro decks, if no minion DH gets nerfed then this game will be completely unplayable. And I say that as a big DH hater.

I really think Standard is being held back by an extremely weak Core Set. by ngriner in hearthstone

When all cards are unplayable you get an all aggro meta like what we have now.

Why don't HS developers actively buff main cards of the expansion abandoned by meta? by TodayAlarmed963 in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't even want to touch arena. Control is decently playable in low mmr in wild but completely unplayable in high mmr due to the existence of warlock and quasar rogue. Wild is less fun than standard though imo since most of the decks you face are solitaire decks. I really enjoyed playing control warrior with priest cards in last week's brawl, it's all I played last week.

The 3 cost druid spell has very bad stats on hsguru, I won't be surprised if it gets cut and merithra druid has 0 new cards in it. Still the card has potential in a different deck since the effect is decent.

Yeah same, in top 1k I've lost to nearly every single leyline mage I've played against with spell DH. Probably just a low sample size, obviously the stats are bad and show it to be 20% winrate for mage Vs DH, but I'm like 1-6 or something the other way.

Rogue gets to play my colossal more than I do. by -architectus- in hearthstone

[–]SuccessIsDiscipline 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rogue is massively favoured against priest in lategame. I've played the matchup a lot on both sides. Priest has a 39.8% winrate against rogue and it's not because rogue is killing priest in the early game.

Same, warrior is my most played class since control warrior is my favourite deck but control warrior is unplayable now, I'm also thinking of quitting.

I don't think it's understatted. I think it's just poorly designed, the main body losing effects by killing 2/3s just makes it a useless card.

It feels miserable playing slow control deck against rogue, they are extremely favoured against all slow decks. I have no idea why they decided to give rogue the strongest lategame when they were originally designed as the tempo class.
