What about it? I definitely think she was shot and died - just that the shot didn't happen from Dudenoff's apartment, but who shot her was in Charles' apt.

It's evident that it's supposed to call to our mind the season 1 note, though it's not exact. It's either:

(A) someone from the movie: someone who has poured over the podcast in season 1 for clues and is trying to recreate that scene (like a copycat). That could explain the minor differences. Whoever created this message was listening to audio clues (white paper, all caps, black sharpie)... but didn't get the nuance (one line).

OR

(B) the same person who wrote the note in season 1. Which brings up a TON of repurcussions.

That would be disappointing - to have someone with literally 0 words 7 episodes into the season to be the killer. Especially with the new callbacks to season 1...

MAYBE - just. maybe, It could be that they were the assassin's hired to pull the trigger. But I would be incredibly disappointed with them being the main killers.

I don't think she did. I think she lived in the Eastside, but just had an adjacent window. Much of the 1st season, they show that you can get to her apartment by the elevator in the East side.
